New 1080p 240hz monitor vg259qm/vg279qm/mag251rx or TN ?

Hi. I would like some advices on a new 1080p monitor.
I am looking for a fast 240hz. So I went through a lot of topics on this forum and I made a list of Displays that look nice:
Asus VG259QM/VG279QM
MSI MAG251RX
And there are some TN like the Benq XL2546s
The thing is, I am currently running a PG279Q, wich is an IPS Panel, so I'm a bit afraid of going back to TN panel.
My MAIN concern is reponse time and blurriness. I am really looking for a fast display with a sharp image.
Color is second criteria, but I don't want something horrible (like people use to tell about some Benq panels).
I mainly play competitive FPS (Valorant atm). I am also very picky about frames, and I prefer to play above 200 fps if I can (wich is achievable with my 3900x and 2080ti).
Finally, I was really happy to find this forum, I read some really interesting stuff during the last 2 days, and this is my first "official" post

The PG279Q is an older slower IPS, so the new "1ms IPS" definitely are MUCH better.

You will be downgrading in resolution from 1440p to 1080p but you will be getting significantly less motion blur, thanks to the dynamic duo of higher Hz and faster GtG. At full frame rates, today's 240Hz 1ms IPS about half the motion blur of 165Hz 4ms IPS, because of the double-whammy of faster-GtG and higher Hz.

Since response time and blur is important, all those options will be blur upgrades to an older 1440p 165Hz 4ms IPS.

The general Blur Busters recommendation is that GtG response time needs to be a tiny fraction of Hz, to prevent GtG pixel response from interfering too much with refresh rate benefits. There's a giant human-visible difference between 4ms and 1ms GtG during these refresh-rate stratospheres, even though most people don't realize it except when seeing the 2 monitors side-by-side -- and then it is instantly obvious for max-framerate material.

I indeed would like an IPS panel, since i am doing some Photoshop for my work.
Mag251rx looks nice, so is the vg259qm. The only thing that scared me is that many games drop below 200fps even with great rigs (warzone for example and even Valorant)
So the thing is mag251rx looks like the best "all around" monitor, since from what I read on this forum, you need to change Asus' OD when below a certain amount of fps to avoid "crosstalk" etc.
I do not see much blur on my crurent monitor, maybe because I am used to it ?
I need to apologize, because english is not my main langage, so understanding "crosstalk" "pixel smearing" etc... is kinda hard.

Crosstalk only occurs with ELMB ON.
If you turn off ELMB, there is no crosstalk, but you have more motion blur.

For non-strobed, 240Hz 1ms IPS has half the blur of 165Hz 4ms.



Have you ever used NVIDIA ULMB on your PG279Q before? PG279Q can do it.
1. Switch to 120Hz refresh rate.
2. Turn on NVIDIA ULMB via monitor menus
3. View www.testufo.com/crosstalk
4. That's strobe crosstalk, the slight faint afterimage.
Sometimes the crosstalk is worse on some monitors than others.

Now, not everyone likes the strobe-backlight motion blur reduction, so using a higher refresh rate (and faster GtG that is a tiny fraction of a Hz) can reduce motion blur too.

No I litteraly never use ELMB on my monitor.
That's the reason I am asking for advice ^^
I just use my monitor at max refresh rate all the time. I guess I am not very sensitive to motion blur ?
So from what I understand, any 240hz refresh rate IPS panel would be great even if it doesn't have ELMB (since I would probably not use it), and I need good color since I only use 1 main monitor and use it for my job too.
