Hello.
Yesterday, I installed a new graphics card into my computer: a 2080 Super. Once complete I plugged everything in and things were working great for the rest of the day (I was probably on my computer for 4 more hours or so). However, come this morning I try to boot up my computer and one of my monitors is not displaying.
When looking into my windows display settings, it sees there is a second monitor, however it thinks it is tiny and there is no information or options available for it (screenshots attached).
Whenever I plug in the cable to the no-longer-functioning monitor, it wakes up but says now signal (like if you plugged it into a sleeping computer, it detects a cable plugged in, but is receiving no input).
Things I have tried thusfar:
- Unplug/replugging in the cable and switching the ports being plugged into
- Uninstalling the monitor drivers and reinstalling them
- Uninstalling the new graphics card's drivers and then reinstalling them
What is really hanging me up is that things were working yesterday fine, and now they have suddenly stopped.
