Best 24/25 inch 240hz/1080p TN monitor? Money is no concern. Or wait to buy?

Looking for the best 240hz 1080P gaming monitor, with the fastest response times without wild overdrives ( I have been learning that not all 1MS response monitors are created equal and some achieve this with ghosting inducing fake over drive modes.) The reason I am aiming for TN is that they seem to still have better pure gaming performance compared to IPS which is getting close though. And I already have an 70hz ultrawide IPS I will use for content creation so I guess I can stick to TN just for gaming monitor. What’s the best 25 inch 240hz TN with fastest response time right now? Some have said wait for the new Zowie XL2546S that just came out which has best of both worlds, free sync, and also DYAC+ if you turn FreeSync off. But it looks like it’ll be out of stock for a long while and I feel it’ll be until after summer that ill be easily able to get it on amazon etc but ill miss out on a whole summer of 240hz gaming fun.

Also Is it a bad time to buy a monitor refresh cycle/release time wise? I don’t get monitors often. I mean, any 240hz will be better for gaming than my current 70hz. But I just don’t wanna buy something and then something else much better comes out a month later.

i bought the xl2546s (preorder on amazon)
but many people said under 240hz you have a bad response time...

awesome colors out of the box

i had the benq XL2546. Dyac seems to add a small amount of input lag since its actually strobing. if u play competitive titles, dont really need strobing actually. the colors on the xl2546 is not that nice to look at especially when u are surfing the browser. in game wise is okay.

which is why i pick the alienware aw2518h as i did not require strobing especially if your game can generate high frame rates like overwatch, csgo etc

since money no concern, getting this 240hz panel will be temporarily. get the 360hz TN once that is out. =x

interesting. what about the AW2518HF? freesynce version. or you recommend the full G sync version?
Also people have been recommending to me the Omen X25F freesync., what do you think about that?
also when i said money no concern i meant every monitor out thats 1080P has been under $500 which is what im wiling to spend so i dont mind getting a $500 monitor if its going to be much better than 300 or 350$ option. i think personally for me 360hz would be pointless for me. i mostly play apex legends which doesnt even perform normally above 190 fps, and same with Modern warfare.

I know you got 500$ to spend but make sure don't get price gouged especially on Amazon

I had the AW2518H (G-Sync) and the PG258Q, and now i use the Omen X25f by HP. The omen should be using new generation panel cause its way faster than the previous i had and the gaming experience is literally day and night in my eyes concerning motion handling. The colours are decent though i dont think that's the case here. The price is good but the stand has no pivots etc etc (I use an arm and i dont mind at all). So for me the fastest right now should be X25f, similar must be the XF252Q by Acer (never owned that, just comparing from reviews - Rtings) and maybe you should wait to see the XL2546S reviews. The x25f has really clear motion, same with ufo test, no ghosting or inverse artifacts, it's as clear as it gets from many ufo test i've seen. But i wanna buy the XL2546s when it comes in my country cause if it has the same motion handling with the x25f, as i think it will, and with their Dyac technology which is really good (no input lag increase and no brightness reduced), i believe it will be the best 240TN out there when strobbing for sure. Aoc just launched two new 240hz tn monitors, 24G2ZU and 24G2ZE and since they are 23,8 inches, maybe a new panel??
I´m waiting for the reviews of those before buying a new monitor

Coming from aw2518hf, I use the xf252q and I was able to see a positive difference right away. From the discussion this Forum had back when I was researching this monitor, I came to the conclusion that the xf252q was the best TN 240hz at the time. Whether this opinion has changed, I can't say.
