why lol, imo 240hz is enough, and u will not get 360 fps in any new game, even in cod mw with 3080ti, unless u play old engine games then maybe, but still with 99% gpu load which will give u huge input lag
High framerate is still being bottlenecked by CPUs. We are still some time away before CPUs can hit the performance goals to have 360fps in most games. Probably coming with DDR5 though, I would guess.

I'm very curious how it stacks up against the ASUS 360HZ TN.
I was planning on buying the 2546s but not anymore. Let's hope we will see those monitors soon.

If you can stand TN overall picture quality and viewing angles and only care about the speed and performance, high-end TN is probably always better. My case is easier, as I cannot stand washed out colours and painfully poor viewing angles of TN panels, so I only rely on IPS. The pricing will probably hurt the most when it comes to these new 360 Hz displays :D

Nice to see but after trying 1440p and hearing about NVIDIA 3000 series + NVIDIA DLSS 2.0, I refuse to spend big money on a FullHD monitor.

For what this will cost and by the time it is released, you will be able to get a 1440p 240hz monitor for the same price or less (on sale).

When can it happen? I can return my 240hz IPS, I have time till tommorow, but then I would need to go back to 144hz TN and wait for this 360hz + this "Frame Rate Amplification Tech", it will take probably at least 1 month, unless it will come out in few weeks, so I can wait, idk what should I do :?
The 240hz is no more any good? i hate this, I always want to have the best things and when I get them after that it came something even more better :x

It's already here today, just at relatively low ratios at the moment.

NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 is already one of those frame rate amplification technologies, but it only has a 2x frame rate amplification factor.

For VR, the Oculus Asynchronous Timewarp (ASW) 2.0 is about a 2x amplification ratio for frame rates.

The future 5x-10x frame rate amplification ratios aren't expected until approximately year 2030.

I see frame rate amplification ratios to continue to improve for years to come.

Sort of, at least at the 2:1 frame rate amplification ratio territory.

If you already have an NVIDIA RTX graphics card, you can use DLSS 2.0 to approximately double your frame rates, with certain settings for many games. It depends on the game though, and CPU-limited games will have difficulty.

It will take time to see larger frame rate amplification ratios that will benefit future ~480Hz, ~720Hz, ~960Hz, ~1000Hz+ gaming monitors though, of the later 2020s and 2030s / 2040s. Such refresh rates will require larger frame rate amplification ratios.

It will take time though. But, it was once a pipe dream to generate real time photorealistic 3D graphics at 1440p or 4K (Unreal 5 engine demo). Now in the coming years, we are going to be seeing some amazing frame rate amplification technologies to help retina-out temporally (refresh), now that we've retina'd-out spatially (resolution). 5:1 and 10:1 frame rate amplification ratios of future technologies is still being incubated in researcher laboratories.

Greater than 2:1 frame rate amplification ratios progbably won't happen this year, unless NVIDIA is hiding something unannounced in the RTX 3000 series. But who knows?

Did you try DyAC ON/OFF?

The BenQ default colors are intentionally very washed out (because esports players like the shadowboost features of BenQ's default color gamut), but a calibrated ZOWIE can hold its own against some lower-quality IPS panels if recalibrated with a colorimeter. The viewing angles are still problematic, but how many % of your TN annoyance was simply BenQ's intentionally-crappy color default adustment setting?

Sure, a good IPS panel will outclass a TN panel, but I'm often surprised how much I can improve a BenQ ZOWIE panel after some color recalibration work with a Spyder -- but even the sRGB/Movie profiles reveals the better colors. The default colors are esports optimized, given their focus.

Now, the viewing angles aren't fixable though, especially if you sit very close to a TN panel, or off dead-center...
I did, indeed. The default colour setting (FPS mode) for this monitor is outrageously ghastly. No idea how could anyone prefer this crap for any purpose. Personally, I use VibranceGUI to boost colour vibrance in CSGO and in pair with maxed out in-game brightness it does the trick, everything is light, no darkened areas and nice colour saturation. I immediately switched to "Movie" colour preset and adjusted brightness. "Movie" preset looked a lot better than default setting, but still a lot worse than my IPS panel.

Viewing angles are a serious problem, and as you say, there's nothing that can be done about them. I sit pretty close to the screen, also I often look at the screen from an angle, or from my bed. Colours were degrading on the sides even when sitting right in front of the monitor, unacceptable. It did not bother me in CSGO, but it did bother me in normal desktop use.

Concerning DyAc, turns out it does nothing for me in game. In motion blur tests - sure, the difference is there, clearly. While playing, I don't even notice if it's enabled or disabled. I rather focus on my crosshair, so turns out motion blur reduction thingy doesn't help me at all.

I'm sure, I have over 240 frames per second 90% of the time in CSGO. I just find the difference pretty much negligible, it's so subtle to me. Upgrading from 60 Hz to 165 Hz was a real game changer, the difference is enormous and I improved a lot. Going from 165 Hz to 240 Hz was nowhere close to it, but perhaps it goes down to my general dislike for XL2546 and brief testing. I can say that I was not impressed by 240 Hz refresh rate, while I was VERY impressed by 165 Hz refresh rate (coming from 60 Hz).

Also, most CSGO pro players use 240 Hz display, and most of them use 400 DPI. I have also used 400 DPI for years, since CS 1.6. It doesn't seem to be any problem to them, it doesn't seem to be any problem to me either, just saying.
agree with u entirely.

i bought the xl2546 and within 2 months sold it away because the colors during internet browsing put me off. its noticeably washed out compared to other TNs.

DyAc works in testUFO but when i run it on csgo, turning it on and off, theres no difference in game at all on the characters. some might argue there is a difference in the characters clarity but its probably only 10 percent difference. not noticeable at all. The only time DyaC is very much noticeable is if u run it on the testufo test haha, which is pointless, because in real world gaming especially csgo, really not much diff. And i do notice there is abit of input lag after turning on DyAc so i bet csgo pros will turn it off too.
