XL2411P optimization for competitive gaming

Post by benjicod » 23 May 2020, 13:18

Hi what is best optimization Zowie XL2411P (144Hz) for best competitive gaming? I play VALORANT my fps don't drop under 240fps. Is using strobe utility and overclocking display best optimization I can do? Also I'm thinking about upgrade, price is not problem just don't know how to decide. If buy XL2546S or wait for 360Hz monitors.

Whether to use strobing or not, depends on your gaming tactics.

There are multiple legitimate options that I see for FPS:

(A) VSYNC OFF, framerate beyond Hz, non-strobed
Lowest lag, no strobed benefits. Best if you're concerned about slight strobe lag.

(B) VSYNC OFF, framerate beyond Hz, strobed
Lowest strobed lag, some strobed benefits. Best for CS:GO aim stabilizing benefit.

(C) framerate matching Hz, strobed
More strobed lag, but strobed motion clarity is better. Best for MOBA/panning/scrolling.

It's kind of a user preference, partially based on HOWTO: Using ULMB Beautifully or Competitively

You may use Strobe Utility to reduce screen-centre lag, by moving the crosstalk zone to below crosshairs. That's the configuration that creates the lowest screen-centre strobed lag.

Remember to set mouse to 1600dpi+ and lower in-game sensitivity.
