Jagged edges, AA not working, inverse ghosting

Post by Anonymous768119 » 25 May 2020, 08:23

Hi all, I didn't receive response to my previous post, but I keep fighting and waiting for somebody who managed to fix this issue. There are some rumors, that everything was fine after buying completely new PC or moving to another house, but I am not sure about it, because in the past everything was fine and enjoyable.

Here are evidences:

Look how textures and edges are behaving. You can clearly see some texture pop-up, shimmering and "vibrations".

Here is another example, which is not mine but is exactly showing what happened to me:

In Witcher 3 AA is maxed and it looks like it completely off. Look at the trees and jagged edges.

I formatted my OS and didn't change nvidia settings. I replaced RTX2060 to GTX1050ti and problem still existed however CS:GO was slightly smoother.

On my XL2546 I can clearly see that inverse ghosting increased. Screen is looking like it's rasterized (something like compressed .jpeg in Paint). Even when I am slowly scrolling websites I can see trails. When I am moving window on my desktop everything is so blurry, vibrating, leaving trails even if I am doing this slowly and accurately.

Mr Chief I would like to know your opinion about that, because when you start digging on the Internet about this issue, you can see that is really common. On linustechtips there is 137 pages thread and people became paranoid because of it. I start thinking that nvidia is messing with drivers on purpose just to force people to buy another graphic card.

Describe the characteristics of your past computer and monitor. After how long did you use the 240hz monitor to notice problems?
I often do not clearly state my thoughts. google translate is far from perfect. And in addition to the translator, I myself am mistaken. Do not take me seriously.

Monitor: Benq XL2546 @ 240Hz
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X @ 3.6 GHz
MOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk
GPU: Asus ROG Strix RTX2060 Gaming OC 6GB
RAM: HyperX Predator 16GB 3333 MHz CL16
PSU: SeaSonic Focus 550W Gold Plus
Mouse: G502 @ 1000Hz

I use my monitor for 6 months and problems appeared more less 2 months ago, but I don't believe it's monitor issue.

I had "gaming" laptop before. It's my first high-end rig. However last monitor was iiyama G-Master GB2560HSU Red Eagle 144Hz but I replaced it with XL2546 to improve screen quality. At the beginning everything was in order and suddenly this happened.

After switching from a laptop to a computer, has fps increased significantly? From how many to about how many. For the witcher and for cs.

I don't think that question is related to my problem.

I join the topic as im experiecing exactly the same problem!

My guess? it's something related to nvidia inspector but sadly i cant figure how to fix my issue
for example in Apex Legends if you disable TSAA you get edgy objects and so on - but if you force FXAA/X16 in NVCP it suppose to "fix" the issue + remove the Blur that TSAA adds - but! when i do so it has no effect on Apex ( i choosed apex on NVCP) so it's like no matter what i do i cant force AA on Apex legends

So i join the topic to ask for help aswell!

Exactly. AA is simply not working. It's not only about games but I can see it on any text while browsing websites.
