The purpose of this test is browser diagnostic, this has nothing to do with your monitor.

I just bought this monitor a couple of days ago. It displays text terribly, with red and blue pixels on white fonts and black fonts not looking entirely black. I compared the font to my friend's LG 27GP750-B and you can clearly see the difference. I don't know how to fix this and I'm thinking of returning the monitor because of this, it gives me a headache to look at text like this. Below are pictures to note the differences, all pictures were taken with the same camera (iPhone 13 Pro Max). You can clearly see the same text on the MSI monitor has pink/purple pixels whereas the text on the LG monitor is completely white. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd really appreciate it. I've tried 2 DisplayPort cables, ClearType, CRU to make the resolution native, nothing has worked so far.

Here are the MSI mag251rx pictures:

I had the 10 bit 240hz native settings but after a gpu driver update and doing the same thing again it now says recommended instead of native. I do have the option for 240hz+10bit so I am not sure if this is a visual bug or not. Does anyone know what this is and possibly how to fix it?

I think I found the issue but I don't know how to fix it. If I select LCD Native or PC Native in CRU, press OK and go back it resets to Manual. It does this in 1.5.2 and 1.4.1

Is this a know problem/is there a fix?

Hi,

I have a MSI 251rx 240Hz bought a month ago. I noticed that if I connect it to my PC through HDMI, it works fine. If I use DP it is slow to detect signal . It starts to display when boot is over it reaches desktop. Also this comes with a red VGA signal on mobo. Everything works fine afterwards. No performance flaws at all.

This doesnt happen when I reboot PC (monitor doesnt turn off) and then I can see bios access options .
I tried to change monitor settings , disable Eco mode , disable enable autoscan, I manually installed the driver from official site, change DP port on GC ... no success
I cant find another DP cable in my country to try it.

I made videos to illustrate the problem:
1 / DP post : https://streamable.com/eewwnc
2/ DP restart : https://streamable.com/ko2jiq
3/ HDMI post : https://streamable.com/ko2jiq

Firmware is FW.019

I had a 144Hz monitor before connected through DP an naver had a similar problem

Any clue ?

Edit :
I tried with online MSI support , they asked to turn of autoscan , chose DP manually and after I showed them the video this was their response :
Since the motherboard's VGA debug LED is on but the monitor has display eventually, for this part, please check with motherboard vendor.
Different monitors have different scaler IC and different response time. If the response time is not as fast as system boot up time, it's very likely that the monitor won't have display during boot up since the timing doesn't match with each other.
When the monitor has multiple output ports, it will take longer time for the monitor to detect each port's signal.
Thank you!

Best Regards,
MSI Technical Support Team
I think they consider this to be a normal boot ? I would like if a peer user share their monitor boot time under DP if possible.
Hi I have exactly exactly the same issue you have and all I can tell you is either use HDMI or this might have to do something with it https://www.cablechick.com.au/blog/the- ... explained/ but I personally fixed the problem by just using fastest HDMI I could find

What are the best response time settings for this monitor other than ELMB
Hi, when I have fastest response time selected in the blur busters ghosting test there is a bit of white behind the ufo's but I think the image is a bit clearer than the fast mode but I don't know which one is better anyone has their opinion on this?

Also idk if it's just me but the monitor for me has bit more yellow-ish colors I tried to fix it with the user controlled colors but after I changed the red and green color temperatures to 81 and blue on 100 it still feels a bit yellow when I just look on white picture anyone else has this problem?

Is this screen still recommended in 2023?

I can get it for 290€ while the Viewsonic XG2431 will be 380€.
I believe they compare pretty similiar?
