Windows 2004 update multi refresh rate

Post by MajorFoley » 21 Jun 2020, 04:05

Has anyone whos on the update tested it with a 144hz monitor and 60hz monitor? Want to update to it but it seems like that update is having quite a few issues at the moment so I want to be sure when i pull the trigger.

Bump. No one tried 2 different refresh rate monitors with this update?

I’ve been running a 240 + 144 Hz combination for a little while now before and after the 2004 update. What should have changed?

Curious as well. I have not gotten the 2004 update yet and I’m currently running a 240hz and 75hz just fine ( aside from the fact that 75hz looks Garbo compared to 240hz lol )

Well im running 144/60 and usually those don't really play nice when you have something like videos on the 2nd monitor, while it wasnt going to be a 100% fix, windows 2004 was supposed to introduce something to at least help, not sure if it was the GPU scheduling or the update to WDMM to 2.7. Didn't want to update straight to 2004 due to the man issues it has/had unless i knew that this update helped so was hoping someone here may have already tried or if blurbusters is still running tests with it sort of like they did with their g-sync 101.

If I recall correctly, the UFO test would stutter if I ran it on two of my monitors in february. I got 2004 and now it'll get to "READY" but only if the primary is on 60hz.

I have an amd 390x and 3 monitors (all displayport, one is DP->dvi, though)

Hmm doesn't sound like a fix, unless you need those new drivers coming out as well as you scheduling?
Will be updating sometime this month, need to get off 1809 anyway at some point...
