Hello,
Just wondering, I love big monitors for pretty much everything, except for gaming where I would prefer to have 24.5 max and at 1080p.
With the Samsung Odyssey being 1440p at 32in, where it is pretty much equivalent in PPI with a 24.5in 1080p monitor. Im wondering if there are any downsides to running the game at 1080p unscaled, meaning playing with black borders and I'm guessing essentially seeing the game at 24.5in on the monitor at 1080p resolution, and at 240hz since that is the refresh rate of this monitor.
If you're getting my gist I just want to play the game with the same experience as a 24.5in 1080p 240hz equivalent monitor. Any downsides to doing this?
Thanks.

Re: 32in Samsung Odessey G7
Nope. Other than the black area around the image, of course.

Thanks,
Looking forward to a review on this monitor on this page, especially on the potential issues with VA panels on fast motion.
Just to add on I also enable G-sync on all games I play, wondering if this changes anything.
Re: 32in Samsung Odessey G7
Well, you get gsync.
