How to find out if my new monitor is faulty?

Post by Conan » 08 Jul 2020, 01:28

I believe there are many people, like myself, that aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to monitors.
Yes, we can read, we can find out which monitor would best suit our needs, but one thing I rarely encounter in posts of other users that are more experienced, is when they detect their monitor is not performing as it should or it has some sort of fault in it.
So far I learned about dead pixels and how to test find them...
Is it possible if we could get some guide what sort of tests we could/should perform after receiving a new monitor?
Soon I will be getting XL2546s from amazon and I wish I could get some advices from more experienced users regarding this.

Thank you
