I will be using it for FPS gaming mainly but also some photo editing.
Is the BenQ blur reduction better than that of the Asus? Is the 280Hz overclock better in the Asus to the BenQ?
Thanks.

Gonna copy my reply from different thread:
In an ideal world you should probably grab two monitors, one high resolution for photo editing and other media and the Benq for fast gaming only. But if you want one in the middle to do both since it would be expensive then the VG259QM is still good.
Adding to that comment; it really depends on you and your photo editing. Of course the VG259QM will add better color accuracy and have no viewing angle problems but are you ok with the motion clarity in the video above for gaming. It's still pretty good but the XL2546S will be better.Have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7DBqyGf7JE
According to this review: https://www.aperturegrille.com/reviews/ASUSVG279QM/, the motion clarity is pretty much the same on 240hz & 280hz so don't worry about the fact that the Asus is not on 280hz.
Both have very impressive motion performance but for the absolute best motion go for XL2546S. Is it worth the extra $$$ is really up to you and hard to say and up to you to judge using the video.
Judging from this post I would recommend the VG259QM but if you looked at the video above and think that the Benq's better motion is worth the more $$$ then go for that.

Thanks for your reply Ash.
I'm thinking I'll go with the XL2546S.

the xl2546s colors are really bad especially if you surf net on the browser or photo editing.

I own the XL2546S and do have better screens to compare it to and the colors are fine after tweaking for a few days. Not excellent but for a TN it's not terrible. The gamma does feel a bit off though but it's perfectly usable for browsing and extremely casual photo editing.jnashville wrote: ↑14 Jul 2020, 18:04the xl2546s colors are really bad especially if you surf net on the browser or photo editing.
But I would still recommend the VG259QM if you do photo editing often on the monitor.

of course u still can use for browsing. just put it side by side with an IPS. dont use it on your own. then u will realise how bad the colors are.

Go for Asus TUF VG259QM. I already have it and there is no motion blur. Before ordering I look up to the comparision videos where they were comparing XL2546S and VG259QM. VG259QM was having motion blur in video, but when I get the monitor, I see it with my own eyes, there was no single motion blur in UFOTEST.

Yeah i received my xl2546s also and after abit of tweaking the colours are not that bad for a TN panel but still not on IPS levels i would say.
i think it does feel ever so slightly more responsive but in terms of motion blur im not sure i can tell a big difference. I play a lot of FPS games also. I think i might return it and stick with my VG259QM. im going to game with it abit more and see but i don't see much of a difference in motion clarity and ghosting.

there is, you can't count the eyes even on 280Hzbring24 wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 04:08Go for Asus TUF VG259QM. I already have it and there is no motion blur. but elmb sync works perfect, although I prefer it on 144Hz because of cross-talk
