Ex-Competitive FPS player. I currently have all the parts for my new PC build after gaming via bootcamp on my 27" 60hz (native) Apple iMac since 2016 so I'm pretty foreign to current monitor tech but I've done some research. I cant wait to get into the 144hz+ territory!
I think I've decided on a 24-25" (24.5" viewable) monitor as 1080p will suffice and the higher FPS is what I'm after although I am pretty used to this 1440p so I'm still open to those suggestions. IPS preferred, 1ms, 144Hz minimum, and GSYNC is what I'm looking for in criteria.
I have narrowed down my search to the following
Alienware AW2521HF
ASUS TUF VG25QM
ASUS ROG PG258Q
ASUS TUF VG27AQ1LA
ASUS ROG PG279QE
MSI MAG251RX
I've been told that GSYNC certified is getting dated and GSYNC compatible is basically fine and now the "new normal" in terms of nVidia's VRR, is this true to not have the physical GSYNC component?
Struggling to choose! FPS player
