HP Omen X 25f vs Samsung Odyssey G7

Input lag on the HP Omen, according to RTINGS, is 2.6ms vs 2.7ms on the Samsung.
HP Omen X 25f 1920x1080p, Samsung 2560x1440p
HP Omen X 25f 24" , Samsung 27 & 32" + 1000R curved

I have the Omen X 25f. I came from an Asus VG248QE, still have it too, so I don't have a relatively equal comparison. I'm really liking the idea of 2560x1440p and a larger 27 or 32" screen. Was thinking of running to my local Micro Center and giving either a try.

Anyone using a G7 have any input to share?

G7 here and vg259qm as well. I also had the xg249q 240hz TN panel a while back. G7 has TN like response times. Now throw in good colors that pop, high contrast 1440p HDR 600. The monitor is really good. The 32 inch seems to have flickering but I don't have any issues on the 27 inch.

How will you describe the difference between x 25f and your older VG248QE?
I am waiting for omen to arrive while still using my XL2411T

When I changed out my 144Hz VG248QE I was still using a 10yr old system for gaming. I might swap it back in to see the gains with my 3800X. One thing about the Omen is there's a big difference between Response time Level 3 (RTINGS recommended) to Level 4 (Fastest). I didn't start using Level 4 till about a few months ago and I remember that being a bigger impression than the changing from the VG248QE.

EDIT: I did take a look at the G7 and the 31.5 (32") monitor is nice. I was underwhelmed by the 27". Build quality I would say the Omen appears to be the better monitor.

Do you mean that there's less blur on level 4 or something else? Because from the reviews it looks like there's a lot of inversion artifacts on level 4

With Unreal Tournament 4 (UT4,) double-tap for dodging is more responsive. Simply from changing from level 3 to 4. You won't notice it in a game like CS:GO

pass, there are motion artifacts on both of them

inverse ghosting for the omen. it's not feint, it looks to be around the 6-9 %(slightly less but similar to that of the acer nitro xf252) mark and i can easily see it on the pursuit ghosting tests.

and black smear on the odyssey g7 if g-sync compatibility is turned on. if you turn adaptive sync off, there will be inverse ghosting coronas AND black smear at the same time

Relevant monitors I have to discussion, Omen X 27 1440p 240hz, X 25f, 259QM. The x 25f is insane fast . Best OSD and implementation imo (actually x 27 is if you like running crosshairs on my x25f you have to go to menu vs app on that piece).

I have it further back maybe about 2-3 feet back. Sometimes closer and the curve doesn't bother me at all while gaming. Even browsing. Haven't noticed distortion or anything but the curve is user preference. I got used to it quick.
