Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)
Hi, i've been using this monitor for 2 months and mostly playing competitive FPS games (Valorant,Apex Legends, Fortnite, and CSGO)
My current settings :
OC 280hz
120 OD
Gsync off
ELMB off
Vivid pixel 0
Racing mode
Shadowboost level 2
Color profile Warm
ICC profile from rtings
Brightness 16
Contrast 80
Nvidia Digital Vibrance 100%
I find it is the best settings for me personally, but i still have a doubt because in most situation i can only reach 200-240fps and for apex i get 140-190fps, i personally don't feel any kind of trouble using it (since i just start using it for 2 months) but i would like to see what you guys think is there any suggestion to set things different from my current settings? Thanks

Hi, I'm currently using these settings for Valorant, with a 3070 and a 5800x:
Monitor Settings:
OC 280hz
120 OD
GSync Off
ELMB Off
Adaptive Sync Off
Shadowboost Lvl 2
Racing Mode, ICC Rtings
FPS Capped to 277 ingame.
NVCP Settings:
Low Latency Mode (Currently On)
Vertical Sync (Currently Off)
Would you advise changing any of these? Particularly Gsync/ELMB/AdaptiveSync/LLM/VSync?
I get over 270 frames pretty consistently.

I can't get into bios with the included dp cable, the vga detection light on the mobo turned on and stays, after some time I can get into the system but never the bios and everything seems ok but the light is still on, tried with every dp port on both r9nano and rx470 and they are all the same, the icluded hdmi cable is just fine, now waiting for the new dp cable to arrive. Second thing is that the monitor says it is dp1.2, but r9nano with dp1.2 can only get 240hz while rx470 with dp1.4 can get 280hz, I have no idea why. Also I downloaded the CRU1.5.1 and couldn't found the "LCD Reduced" setting, maybe I should use an older version?

The new cable arrived, then found out the monitor seems to be just fine without overclocking it, couldn't understand why.Tacoma213 wrote: ↑22 Jun 2022, 03:07I can't get into bios with the included dp cable, the vga detection light on the mobo turned on and stays, after some time I can get into the system but never the bios and everything seems ok but the light is still on, tried with every dp port on both r9nano and rx470 and they are all the same, the icluded hdmi cable is just fine, now waiting for the new dp cable to arrive. Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)
hello.
I'm having trouble with this screen.
I was playing with a 240hz / overdrive at 60 vivid pixel at 50.
I had micro lag, the image quality was not pretty at all.
especially on games at 60fps, even with gsync I still had the same problem.
I went back to my old vg248qg.
If anyone can help me solve the problem, I would be very happy!

I think you're talking about sharpness which on the asus vg259qm is called VividPixel. By default it's 0 i believe so try increasing it and see if that fixes the issue.roro13200 wrote: ↑24 Jun 2022, 13:59hello.

Hi there was wondering if I should buy the Asus VG259QM for $250, Acer 25XV2Q FBMIIPRX for $330, or the Viewsonic XG2431 for $280? Just moved and currently have no monitor so upgrading regardless, just want to make sure I'm getting the best value out of my monitor thanks!

Hey, does anyone else have an issue with the screen blacking out for 2-3 seconds a lot? Any help would be appreciated.
Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)
I have exactly the same thing as you.
the screen turns off on its own and turns on again, even in the middle of a game!
