Anyone snag any UFO comparison pics by chance? I am going to try it out when I get home minus the UFO pics lol. These literally never come out anywhere close to what I see.

How does input lag feel? Hard to imagine why this would be left out short of something not good.

Axaro, what is the best options in your opinion for speed and clarity?

ELMB feels slower to me for reasons I can't explain and I notice very little difference in clarity between the OD on UFO. I just leave mine @ 280hz and 80 OD.

Does anyone know a way for the monitor to remember the last settings? If you have a dot (OSD) enabled and power off your PC when back up, dot is gone. That is annoying to me.

I'm sticking to 240hz OD120, if I could output 280+fps all of the time I would be using either 280hz OD120 or 280hz OD80.

I cap at 234fps with Freesync in games like Overwatch/R6s. Sometime I switch to Adaptive Sync OFF + ELMB-Sync ON at 240hz, if you are speaking strictly about motion clarity this is the clearest mode.

On Siege, 278hz capped GSync, with display @ 280hz OD120 the play? Haven't tested disabling gsync. It's not over 280 but holds no tearing. No idea if the TS benchmark is broke or if nVidia's new driver is in sicko mode but CPU load @ 31%, GPU load @ 52% both had an average render time of 1.7ms which is the lowest I have seen it on my system. Typically I think 2.2/2.5.

Oh, does ELMB feel slow to you by any chance? It feels just the tiniest bit slower to me. I mean super tiny. FW 105. On my mouse crusade (so far Viper Ultimate is winning) I have been in hyper attention mode on mouse so I feel this is not my imagination. I am also paranoid about the entire wireless thing and delays due to other signals but never experienced that with my G502 LightSpeed.

Thank you!! Going to test soon.

Definitely passes. Siege felt extremely good but I haven’t been playing much and switched to a different mouse so I was extremely clumsy with new binds and not near what I’m used too. Would need a few days. Warzone felt amazing depending on server no complaints on anything the display was doing. I’m in the top 9% in the world for wins and KDs and move quick. Nothing stood out except of course when the servers were trash and all the other bugs this game has.

UFO test seemed incredibly close between the 259QM and the Omen X 25F I couldn’t pick a winner though due to the display type I believe the alien eyes were easier to distinguish on the 259QM. There is no way to keep the OD120 period I assume? Every time the PC is powered on you’d have to set OD to 120 in service menu? Even with FPS drops down to the 170s In Warzone I’d still leave the OD120 on as a set and forget. Hard for me to tell if its any faster with too many variables with my equipment but I would love to see this tested. Seems faster to me as well. Forgot to run a human benchmark test.

My VG259QM retains OD120 even if I switch off the monitor.

I barely notice any difference in terms of input lag, it's slightly slower than non strobed mode, I'm waiting for Rtings review to see how much penalty we get from strobing.
Iirc the only strobing lag penalty for the VG279QM was 1.7ms (that most likely means to 1.3ms from the strobe phase [according to the Aperture Grille Review] + 0.3ms of signal processing, this is incredibly low, I hope the numbers stays the same for the 25"

Does this secret overdrive work well with 280hz? How come 240hz is always mentioned with this monitor when everyone knows it can overclock to 280hz? Is there some issue with 280hz that I havent heard about?
OD80 still has some minor overshoot at 280hz, OD120 is overshoot free with very very minor ghosting in dark transitions.
Thanks, since i play pretty competitively i drop the settings and even sometimes lower the resolution to ensure i get the highest frames possible so 280hz is pretty achievable for me if i really want it.

I don't haveu the VG259QM but the MAG251RX which is the same panel, i read on this forum that ULMB/Anti Motion Blur should impact 1ms at most, it's a tiny tiny extra input lag compared to OFF. However I think the reason why you think it's slower is because of crosstalk, the "ghosting" effect of previous frames may make you think it isn't refreshing as fast as it should be

Not sure honestly. I am super sensitive to motion, like at the movies when we used to have those, I can see the frames its annoying so you may be right. I just went and looked at Rtings review of the 27 and it looked like 1.7 native and 1.7 ELMB, VRR 1.8. What has felt slower to me is the mouse. Just the tiniest fraction. It was enough I tested another mouse (two, my trusty Logitech and a Roccat) as I thought it might be a wireless issue, sensor, or even how much shit synapse tries to run (Viper Ultimate). I even looked into the latency stuff with which USB ports should be used and all that. I naturally stopped all the synapse services and start ups but regardless the difference isn't enough I'd say it'd make a difference in game or if I'd choose one over the other if I preferred one visually vs one that felt faster but I can feel it.

Good news - you can save OD120 along with other settings as a custom preset in "my favorites".

(I would like to have custom presets on hotkeys.)

I play csgo and can get frame rates higher than 280.

I am on 280hz..should I put OD to 120? I also do not turn on elmb at all. Currently on od80
