not tuned yet, i didnt find any setting which would fit to my needs I have the same issue with crosshair, its barely visible and the lack of 0.5 crosshairoutline made it even worse, there is no contrast to crosshair. Everything shines in afternoon sunset effect, what is the worst light condition possible ever, as it absolutelly kills dynamic range of picture. Also using FPS mode but it has the same issue like you have described. Everything is blending out among too many distractive sharp lightnings. Sad that benq already released a special profile for CS2 for all their models + responds querries at youtube, asus did nothing yet AFAIK.
I tried some settings but whatever i set, its either oversaturated, burned out, or lacks contrast (usually all of these). What i noticed, i got migrennic aura and headachee three times since semi open beta already, not remembering i ever got migrenna while playing csgo, maybe once per life.

Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)
In a despair, i turned on ELMB on, in CS2 it paradoxially helps, the game looks now washed out, like csgo did, but all the annoying and distracting reflections and blening effects are almost gone now and all other deathmatch players now play only for second place every game. Will gonna give it a try in competitives. My confidence during aim fights has gone up rapidly, also the follow recoil option is kinda OP after getting used to it (plan A - give a headshot, no HS? Plan B - go brrrrrt).
also (acidentally) i have set green channel only to 40 percent brightness, 60 contrast and 1.0 gamma, other colors are 50-50 and 0.9 gamma. Digital vibrance 80 percent (in csgo i had 90-100). Ingame brightness 110 percent but almost every value 95-115 seems to be working depending on map.
And hell, i didnt change monitor settings (120 overdrive, FPS mode, shadow boost 3, saturation 50, full contrast, full brightness, G-sync on, V-sync ON, ultra low latency on, reflex on (without boost). Aim is reponsive, game is fully fluent (capped to 260fps by drivers in dx11 mode, and 277fps in vulkan by my custom fps limit in nv panel). HW: 3060Ti + Ryzen 7600 + 6000Mhz RAM + W11.

Strobing can help speed up human reaction time, by eliminating distracting ghosting/motionblur.
It varies from person whether the "human lag" decreases MORE than the "strobe lag" increase. Sometimes the human lag (reaction time) decreases more massively (e.g. 10ms savings in reaction time) than the electronic input lag increase (e.g. 2ms increase in electronic lag).
Less blur = easier to see things mid-scroll/mid-turn
It depends on how you use your eyes (eye movements away from crosshairs) during gaming, as strobing helps the "moving eyes, moving object" situations -- like tracking eyes mid scroll/pan/turn.
It also has (moderate) aim stabilizing feels in some ways, part of reason why Gigabyte calls their strobing technology "Aim Stabilizer".
It's a YMMV thing, that's why BenQ has DyAc enabled by default, and some competitive players use it (but not all).
HOWTO: Using ULMB Beautifully or Competitively

I wonder whats the best settings for a fast FPS like QuakeLive.
The game is capped at 250fps. any suggestions for optimum settings?

I've seen you had used PG27AQN and XL2566K, why you choose to stay with VG259QM btw? Any benefit or pro and cons?daviddave1 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2023, 02:08I disable that cause it gives a little inputlag.skaushikk wrote: ↑23 Oct 2023, 21:08Thanks!. How about ELMB, Adaptive-Sync ?

The PG27AQN was 1300 euro. I had it for 10 days then returned it for a refund. Then I bought a VG259QM second hand for 130 euro. ( with the right panel) This is literally 10 times less then the PG27AQN. I found out about the VG259QM cause Apex player/streamer FAIDE still uses this monitor. The guy has money like water so I thought the monitor still has to be good if he still mains it. And it still is. The colors look very nice and the monitor feels fast, smooth and responsive. Plus it's bright.wanlaizan wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 11:02I've seen you had used PG27AQN and XL2566K, why you choose to stay with VG259QM btw? Keep in mind the QISDA panel is responsible for the exceptional good colors. Only the first 2 batches (could be only the 1st batch also not sure) of the VG259QM have this panel inside the monitor.
The PG27AQN had
A: No custom resolutions ( Apex and PUBG my main games, play best on custom resolutions)
and
B: ULMB2 darkened the screen to a extreme matter; the screen on the PG27AQN goes from more then 480 nits to 270 nits with ULMB2 activated. Screen was way to dark for my taste.
The XL2566K is better then the VG259QM for PUBG cause Zowie has way more constrast&color options that can make the dark or green PUBG enemies pop out in grass or dark places plus the dyac kicks ass in long distance fights that PUBG have a loth.
But I main Apex Legends now. In Apex the colors look better on the VG259QM with the QISDA panel. The Xl2566K would be just collecting dust so I sold it cause I could still get more then 400 euros for it.
I am going to buy the pg248qp though when it comes out arround next week in the EU. I hope ULMB2 does not darkens the screen so much that I rather play without it.
If it does I am gonna return it also and then wait on the way cheaper Acer 540hz or a bright 360hz 1440p OLED with hdmi 2.1 ( hdmi 2.1 does not use compression so custom resolutions should be available on 1440p 360hz.)
