I am on mcm130 firmware though. Earliest batch.

BTW, I turn off my overclock and I still have 280hz... wierd.

To me it only happens if I already selected 280hz inside a game, it seems to force 280hz even if my monitor is set to 240hz inside windows.

I even turn off my monitor, turn it back on, check the old, and check that overclock is definitely off. Check the windows display adapter refresh rate and it still shows 280. In nvidia app as well.

if anyone has the time to take some pics and/or videos of testufo with this monitor (or vg279qm) with elmb / elmb-sync ON at 165-280 hz it would be awesome !

Can someone please post an example of how terrible 100OD looks? I keep hearing how its "literally unusable" but no one has actually presented an example of how 100OD at 280hz looks. Some people say AMA premium on XL2411 is unusable however it has never bothered me that much to have some overshoot...

In my opinion, ASUS should allow adjustability of Overdrive (AMA) in steps of 1 instead of steps of 20 for the reasons explained here.

That way, if a user prefers Overdrive 72 or Overdrive 67 for their specific situation, it would now be possible.

Almost all panels already support Overdrive adjustment in steps of 1, it is just a matter of exposing it to the menus.

OD120 is achievable by entering the service menu ( press the power button and hold menu (5-way), then press menu again and it will pop up on top left, there will be a small "F" for the service menu, click on it)
Can you clarify how to bring up the service menu? Pressing/holding the power button just shuts off the monitor. If I hold the menu/joystick button by itself, nothing happens.. I have the vg259qm FW MCM104 as well.

You need to press both buttons at the same time, don't keep them pressed, just a fast click and then regularly open the menu with the 5 way joystick

I updated this thread by adding RTings' overdrive testings and a a couple of words on how Shadow Boost can reduce overshoot even further.
