whenever i turn off od strong weak off and press exit, it just keeps going back to on. How do i save it or actually turn it off?
Can you elaborate? Does it stay stuck to OD120?

You should only use the service menu to enable OD120 and you should use the standard OSD to swap from OD120 to the usual overdrives.

axaro1, what is the best OD for 240hz? And the best configuration for R6S, I didn't like the active ELMB. I want the best possible response time, as I notice a big difference from this monitor to an XL2546 for example

To keep OD 120 without re-entering service menu all over again - save your profile in the monitor's menu:
MyFavorite⭐ > Customized Setting > Setting 1/2/3 etc > Save ✅

I don't know if its known or not but i managed to use the native 1080p@280hz in desktop and 1024x768@280hz@10-bit display scaling in csgo. To check if this was working as intended, i opened the OSD and there was 1024x768 and 10-bit.

I did this in CRU:

Display scaling feels smoother than the default GPU scaling with a RTX 2060. Also im using with the default display port cable that came with the monitor.

Thanks , to unlock OD 120 just follow ur first post?
so theres zero to no harm in unlocking OD120 right?
thanks for helping me out :)
Yes, follow this guide. There is no harm in using OD120.
are these still your final settings? and whats your colour temp , skin tone and color saturation? is your blue light filter on too? thanks in advance :) love your guides
These are my final settings, I will not change them anymore since I found the sweetspot:

-280hz
-Adaptive Sync OFF (It truly comes down to personal preference, I find that at 280hz tearing is very very hard to notice, much less than at 240hz)
-OD120
-Shadow boost LVL1
-FPS Mode (saturation 47)
-Brightness 70-90 during the day, 45-60 when it's dark.
-Contrast 80
-VividPixel lvl 50 (or 25 depending on personal preference)

Shadow Boost to 3 can help a lot with OD120 since you shift away from the 0 to 20/40/60 transitions that are the few ones that struggle with overshoot, so stick to 3.

I'm not using the VG259QM anymore so the rest of my final settings are still the same.

Although last time I used it I found myself using 280hz ELMB and I preferred it over the unstrobed mode but for some reason I get a lot of headaches from ELMB.

Hey guys, I'm having an issue where if I'm playing CSGO on 1920x1080 @ 280hz my monitor will randomly switch to 144hz when I start my game up. Its not something that happens everytime I'd say its like 1/3 times I launch my game a day but its a giant pain in the ass, does anyone know what the issue is and maybe how to fix it? Been bugging me since I bought it like 8 months ago.

Hello all users of the VG259QM. I want to share a wonderful discovery regarding the overdrive behavior of this monitor. I was tinkering with custom refreshrates with CRU and I discovered something strange. The overdrive setting "100" does not function the same way at 235Hz than it does with 240Hz. At 235Hz the overdrive setting 100 gives me the best results I have personally been able to get from this monitor in terms of motion clarity, even better than the 280Hz 120 OD setting. So I suggest you all try this out, I will be using 235Hz OD100 from now on.

I don't know if this is a bug or what that the OD100 is completely unusable at 240Hz but the perfect setting at 235Hz.

In the CRU application I just use manual timing and change the refreshrate to 235Hz and that's all.

Take care.
