I just want to drop in again as I cannot stress enough how insanely good the performance is at 235Hz OD100, it is so much better than any other setting in terms of response time. I just switched the timing in cru from manual to exact and now I can quickly alt tab from games and adaptive sync seems to be working perfectly.
I don't know if its placebo or something but I tried it on valorant for like 4 games and I played very badly with it. I don't see any overshooting or ghosting though!

How well does the 235hz 100 od work when using Freesync? I should expect overshoot given that my frames typically jump around 170-220, right? I'm currently using OD 120 and am fine with that, but I'm curious to know if others have tried the 235 OD 100 setup and had success at framerates below 235.

The input lag is higher on 235Hz compared to 280Hz. Couple things you can do to lower input lag. 1) In your monitor settings go to audio and mute and turn mute "ON". Secondly if you don't use adaptive sync go to monitor settings, go to OSD setup and change the DDC/CI to OFF.

Then if you have AMD card go to radeon software, display and on the lower right exceptions and set pre emphasis to 2.

Adaptive sync or freesync works perfectly from my experience. There's no overshoot on any framerates. I played overwatch at around 130 fps and it is still much clearer than 280Hz OD120 at same 130 fps.

Same thing happens to me with Fortnite. My aim is just so much worse on OD100 235hz, I’m not sure, but I think I’m just too used to the overshooting with 240hz OD100 and it helps my aim for some reason. As I said I’m not sure, and I hope I’m not lol.

Well in competitive input lag is what counts so in that sense yes. But you can for example disable in game antialiasing(even FXAA) and vsync and in monitor settings disable freesync to get lower input lag among the other tips I gave earlier.

The last tip on asus vg259qm, that I'm gonna give is that putting the shadow boost on "dynamic adustment" seems to make some transitions faster for my naked eye without making the picture look washed out. So 235Hz OD100 and shadow boost "dynamic adjustment" will give insanely good response times.

Anyone have black screen issues with 235hz? When I adjust it in CRU, sometimes my screen goes black for 2-3 seconds only to come on again like nothing happens. It's rather intermittent, only happening once every half hour to an hour or so. It has never happened to me when using 280hz.
