I use Display port 1.2 and I don't have issues when changing resolution or alt-tabbing it doesn't take long I have perform scaling on GPU in Nvidia control panel.
Is there any reason why you chose gpu scaling instead of display?

brightness: 30-35
Contrast: 80
Adaptive-sync: ON
ELMB: OFF
VividPixel:25
OverDrive: 120
Overclock: 280hz
GameVisual: Fps mode

Nvidia control panel settings:

Digital Vibrance: 70%
Gamma: +1.31
Oh my, thats very saturated, FPS mode + digial vibrance.
FPS mode has trash contrast, but its nice for gaming, helps like shadow boost.

Hey all, I just made an account to ask this specifically, I apologize if it's already asked somewhere, but basically I checked my monitors settings today and noticed it had reverted to back to a colour depth of 8 bps after it had previously been 10 bps due to the trick the OP post suggests. I don't know why / when it reverted, so im wondering is there some reason it reverted orr?

Thanks :D

Maybe I'm spamming an easy answer, but is there anyway to make dark deeper on IPS or just on this monitor?

I've seen much worse blacks than this panel. This is actually pretty good for an IPS panel. I've been using VA panel for the last couple of years and naturally I can see the contrast difference but blacks doesn't look bad at all. I didn't even expect this panel to be this good, especially with blacks.
May be you pumped your brightness too much ? Or shadow boost ? I suggest turning down brightness below 10 and check again. Switch off shadow boost completely or keep it at 1.

Oh I always had this option on GPU on my old monitor, but haven’t bother to test it on display, will do it when I get home.

Hello guys I am looking for an icc profile to get the best color I can for this monitor but I cannot make the icc profiles I downloaded from rtings, asus and tftcentral to work. I can get other icc profiles to work but I don't know why these icc profiles that are made specifically for the vg259qm does not load/work. I am using the monitor in racing mode and at 240hz.

Edit: So I tried using displaycal profile laoder and I get the same result. It's like the icc profile is not doing anything because I don't see a difference in color right after I load the icc profile then I realized that maybe it's supposed to be that way. I mean the icc profile only does minimal adjustment for you to notice. Anyways I just followed the osd settings rtings recommended and let my eye adjust to the color and it seems great. Can someone who tried out the icc profile confirm that you will not notice a color change instantly after loading the rtings icc profile? Tia!

What is the best response time overdrive? To play competitively at 240 or 280Hz
OD120 is the best for 280 Hz in my opinion. It's an overdrive level hidden in factory menu for some reason, even though it works the best for this monitor. Despite its name, OD120 is a middle ground between OD60 and OD80. OD120 provides good response time with less overshoot than OD80. First page of this thread explains how to enable OD120. I agree with Max_hz that OD80 is totally usable for CSGO as well, although you might notice overshoot.
Tried adding you to send you a PM, but that proved to be difficult.

Anyway, seeing as you've been through a rather big pool of monitors; are you happy (like, really happy) with the performance in CSGO? I've been, particularly, looking at the XL2546K vs the VG248QM and I, more or less, only play CSGO (at the moment), but I also use my computer for both work and some photo editing. Been using TN-panels as long as I can remember, and I currently have the VG248QE (yes, still), which works good for CSGO (and other FPS games).

The question really comes down to if I would perceive VG259QE and it's IPS panel as a downgrade in CSGO compared to what I'm currently using. I'm not sure if I could justify buying it if it is. And yes, I will live with whatever settings are required for the best performance in game.

Yes, pretty happy with VG259QM in CSGO. I chose it over XL2546K. If you ask me, there is very little reason to still use TN nowadays, IPS panels have gone a long way.

I see that VG248QE is already a few-year-old-monitor with just 144 Hz refresh rate, so VG259QM will outperform it easily, and you should definitely see a difference, in a good way, in terms of motion clarity. There is a noticeable difference between 144 Hz and 280 Hz in pure motion clarity, it's best shown in this UFO Test, and VG259QM achieves even 1.9 ms GTG average response time on OD80 with (for me) still acceptable overshoot, while OD120 delivers 2.6 ms GTG average response time with much less overshoot, so these results are really good.

One thing I have to add about VG259QM - even though it's a really solid performer overall - it has, from my experiences, horrible quality control. I had to exchange or return it several times to get a unit with no bad pixels, some units also suffered from pixel inversion artifacts. I am, however, REALLY unlucky, I often experienced issues with new items I ordered :P

I have two doubts, I was researching this monitor and I saw a lot of complaints about the tele switching off for a few seconds and coming back during use, and also about the monitor switching off alone after a while. After that I looked for aw2521hf and to my surprise it has the same problem, is this common in monitors with a high update rate? do you recommend the vg259qm or have a better option with similar price?

Hey, guys , first time posting. I bought this monitor about a week ago. Been pretty pleased with its overall function and quality. Had 0 dead pixels, mcm106 (guess it was a new batch),fast alt+tabbing with display port, no random turn offs, just 1 thing and idk if its specific to the monitor or display port in general but i cannot seem to go into the bios while being connected via display port. The stand is pretty compact, i think you could literally have a 10 inch deep desk and still have space for your keyboard and mouse. Overall i think its a no brainer, can't really see it being any better most regards, especially with the settings layed out in this thread.
P.S. built in speakers are pretty quiet
