My asus vg259qm just arrived today. Its firmware is MCM106. I am very happy with it. However, later I noticed a dead pixel (actually dead green subpixel) on the left side. I will try to return it to seller. Do you have any recommendation for dead pixel thing? In Turkey, many buyers experienced this issue. I fear that even if they return a new monitor, it may still have the issue.

How do we upgrade to MCM106?
And to Axaro: whats makes you play more with this monitor vs XL2546K? isnt Dyac better than ELMB?

Hi guys, any recommendations for color/temperature settings besides racing mode? For example for FPS mode and RPG mode.

From changelist:
"LCD reduced" has been eliminated because it was too arbitrary and only worked for certain resolutions. Try "Exact reduced" for an alternative.

I have a problem with lower resolutions not sticking. I want to run games in Fullscreen exclusive and the monitor to run at 900p@280Hz without GPU scaling.

When applying 1600x900 (900p) resolution via the Nvidia 497.09 control panel I'm seeing it reported to the monitor as 1080p and visually seeing 900p scaled up. Scaling is set to perform on 'Display' in NV control panel. I want it to report 900p@280Hz to the monitor without any GPU scaling.

To get 1600x900@280Hz to report to the monitor I need to use CRU and set a detailed resolution for it (exact reduced). But, after setting the desktop resolution to 1600x900@280Hz and loading up a game in Fullscreen (exclusive) mode with 1600x900 already set ingame, the monitor will revert to 1080p@240Hz upscaled from 900p. I've checked the Nvidia game profile to to use either 'Maximum refresh rate' or 'Application preferred', neither helped fix the issue. This has happens on multiple games. The only way around is to set the game to Windowed Fullscreen or Flip Fullscreen.

I want to run games in Fullscreen exclusive and the monitor to run at 900p@280Hz. Any ideas?

In this scenario, elmb on, adaptive sync off at 280hz do I cap my fps at say 500 in csgo or do I cap below, I want the least amount of input lag while using elmb on 280hz.
If you can pull that much fps just go with the uncapped framerate.
Hey axaro1, it looks like you’ve changed up your monitor settings from the initial post. Looking through this thread, I see that you use the Rtings' ICM profile, 97-100-97 RGB, Racing Mode, Shadow Boost 3, OD 120, 280 HZ, ELMB ON with Adaptive Sync Off. Is that right?

This is for 200+ frames, I’m assuming, which is what I get in all my games except for Warzone. So in that game, should I do G-Sync On with OD 80? Lastly, what sharpening setting do you use? I find that anything above 0 makes it impossible for me to see enemies in Warzone. It gets really pixelated for me, but maybe I’m not used to it
