280hz OD120 Shadow Boost 2/3 Adaptive Sync OFF, also the OSD crosshair (the dot) might be useful when you get flashed and the HUD disappear to never lose track of the center of your screen.

I want to use that coz 1280x1024 res is not enough for me in long distance fights in cs go and i want my crosshair to be smaller on higher res but have the same contrast coz of thick outline. anyway why i want it is irrelevant i just need to have it. so this monitor can use fhd 280hz but cant 1480x1152 280hz? Im not an expert in this so i must not understand something. what is the highest 5:4 res higher than 1280x1024 i can use with 280hz on this monitor and how can i set it in cru?
I misunderstood your settings, my bad.

I recommend you to copy the 1920x1080 280hz profile in CRU and paste it, change resolution to 1280x1024 and try with those timings, if it doesn't work you can start by reducing your timings, forcing "Exact Reduced" could be a starting point to work your way up, if it does work you can slowly increase VT to climb your way up to match 620/630MHz pixel clock so you can reduce latency a little bit further.

If it works right after changing resolution to 1280x1024 you can immediately start cranking up VT until it goes out of range.

I don't know what a scaler like the NT68415 is capable of but I assume that 1280x1024 should be doable, if you still have issues I can try to test some resolutions on my unit and share my timings if I manage to make it work.
thx for answer!

as i said im currently playing on 1280x1024 280hz and this profile is not in cru. i have only 1080p 280hz profile there. Im attaching my 1080p 280hz profile screenshot to this message. I copied those settings and changed res from 1080p to 1440x1152 but the monitor says out of range when i try to run it in cs.

I tried 8 different back porch/blanking combinations with 1440x1152 with reduced timings and I still can't manage to stop the monitor from going out of range with that resolution. I don't know what's the problem here.

thx for answer. yeah it seems weird! i found calculator for back porch combinations but using numbers from it didnt help either. i mean it should be possible to use this res on 280hz right, its smaller than 1080p

Define "best response times".

If you mean "seeing the first enemy" it's OD 80 or OD100, if you mean better motion clarity it's OD120.

Among the OD60+ overdrives (so if you are willing to trade overshoot with ghosting), OD120 not only has the least artifacts while having a more aggressive OD than OD60 but it also wins in terms of Total Response times, even beating OD80 and OD100.

OD80 and 100 get to the target faster but the overshoot is so high that it takes quite a lot of time to stabilize the final transition, causing noticeable overshoot thorough the entire refresh window.

Also OD120 total response times, that are already better than ALL the other overdrives, with 6.1ms avg and 7.1 Dark Avg can be reduced in dark Avg with shadow boost [0 to 20 is inflating dark Avg with 14.3ms]).

The best way to get the most out of this monitor is either OD120 with Shadow boost (at fixed 280hz for stable overdrive performance) or ELMB (with Adaptive Sync OFF) if you want some extra motion clarity, it does force OD80 but the BFI window is capable of hiding a good percentage of the overshoot transitions.
