Hence why I got a refund for my PG259QN and got the Alienware instead! Haven't had a single issue with that one. Historically Asus has been decent but I feel they rushed things with the PG259QN to be the first to claim the 360hz... and they cut corners. A LOT of corners.
I agree, the 360hz ROG series is supposed to be the top tier and the Tuf is the budget yet my 280hz Tuf feels more premium, plastic on the back feels less hollow, the the 4 buttons don't feel as loose, same with the joystick. Has less features like worse ELMB, no Vividpixel etc. 360hz was nice but I'll have to pass and keep my 280hz, I'll upgrade again once 480hz+ comes out with CPUs that are much powerful in a few years.

I got the Alienware 360Hz, and haven’t had a negative thing to complain about...
Actually the stand sucks for mousepad space!
It’s weird that the variance of the quality is so different when the panels are the same.

Get an desk clamp arm mount from Amazon for $25

You can thank me later

This! I'll never go back to a regular monitor stand if I can help it. The extra mouse space and being able pull the monitor close for competitive FPS games is great.

Got myself a PG259QN, coming from a XL2546-K. IPS is definitely a step up from TN. Image looks more clean, transitions somehow do too.

Can definitely recommend. The only downside is that I just found out Asus released the QNR.

bro did you see a lot of difference from 280Hz to 360Hz? Does the 360Hz model have no sharpness adjustment? this is crazy

It's human visible but minor. It's like upgrading 120Hz to 144Hz/165Hz, percentage-wise. Depends on how competitive you are and how picky you are; not a whole lot for most users,

Think in terms of refresh rate upgrade percentages, that's the proper way to treat refresh rate upgrade-worthiness.

One needs to upgrade refresh rates geometrically. 360Hz-over-280Hz is almost like 144Hz-over-120Hz, a subtle upgrade.

Generally, for most mainstream people, I recommend upgrade your refresh rates by approximately 2x,
e.g. 60Hz -> 120Hz -> 240Hz -> 480Hz -> 960Hz (future)
e.g. 60Hz -> 144Hz -> 360Hz
(yes, 360Hz will be a little more mainstream one day once cheap; it has a lot less motion blur during web browser scrolling)

For power users, tinier upgrades of 1.5x can be okay
e.g. 144Hz -> 240Hz
e.g. 240Hz -> 360Hz

For esports people, tiny upgrade of 1.25x can be easily warranted, if there are latency benefits
e.g. 240Hz -> 280Hz -> 360Hz

Yep no sharpness options, seems like it's missing quite a bit of settings compared to the 280hz Asus. As for the difference between 280hz 360hz, clarity might be a little bit better but I'm not sure if I would pass a blind test between both.

it makes no sense not to have sharpness control, I personally like high sharpness would not be satisfied. It really doesn't make any sense to take this instead of the vg259qm for more than twice the price delivering practically the same performance and offering less extras. The alienwere 360hz seems to be a much better option as it has sharpness control and Black Frame Insertion without reducing brightness at 240hz

Hey,
What kind of games do you play if you don't mind me asking?
I want to make the purchase, but Dyac+ is just really good, I had the omen x25f before the 2546k

I play a lot of FPS games and considering this purchase.
What specs are your PC also?

Thanks in advance
