I can confirm Resize BAR enabled + Display port 1.4 on my PG259QNR does not communicate with the GPU during boot for bios access. I just swapped out my PG259QNR with my Omen X25f and I was able to see AMERICAN MEGATRENDS boot screen and enter the DELETE key for bios access. PG259QNR Display port 1.4, Omen X25f 240Hz Display port 1.2
Going to reply to your post so hopefully you get the notification.

If you're running an EVGA card, I've got the 3080ti, vBIOS was just released that solved this issue for me - I can see BIOS now fine with my PG259QNR - no more swapping cables....lol!
I installed the beta for Normal mode but I haven't done anything with the OC mode as I've never physically changed the switch from Normal to OC. Did you install from Precision X1 or the exe?

I had just done a restart - Precision 1 loaded and mentioned an update was available - installed the new update then went into P1 to ensure settings were the same.

Went to make sure Re-Bar in P1 was still enabled, and noticed a mark beside vBIOS that an update is available. Clicked on it, it installed within the screen, required a Restart - noticed right away I could see the Hit Del for BIOS notification - tried again and Bingo! Into BIOS no problem.

I installed from within Prec 1, not from .exe

Again, I'm on an EVGA RTX 3080ti FTW3 Ultra - so it was Display Port issue with this card.

Is it a Display port update or a VBIOS update? Or does the VBIOS-update update the Display Port?

Here's some info to help others. With the EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra I own here's the info on the vbios. I can confirm the VBIOS update will enable you to see the bios upon boot or reboot.

Normal Mode: 94.02.71.00.AF > 94.02.71.80.74
OC Mode: 94.02.71.00.B0 > 94.02.71.80.75

To update either, you will need to use the mode switch on the side of the card. Power down and change the switch when upgrading the next bios. Then boot up and Precision X1 will recognize the bios and notify you if it needs an update.

Are the color temperature and max brightness supposed to lower in 60Hz mode? In 60Hz mode both from PC and console I lose about 50 nits at max brightness and I need to do a custom color temperature of about 84-84-100 to get the same effect as at other refresh rates. I checked my other settings and nothing is different in 60Hz mode. I wonder if my unit is bugged? I also encountered an issue where the power supply and back of monitor were still hot 24 hours after turning off the monitor. I replugged the power cable and it's staying cool now but that is troubling.

For those looking for 60Hz input lag numbers, with a Time Sleuth I measured 7ms at the top left, 12ms middle and 17ms bottom right at 1080p/1080i/720p/480p. 960p was not accepted, and neither was it on the Alienware AW2521H. For comparison the AW2521H measured 2ms top left, 8ms middle and 17ms bottom right at the same 60Hz resolutions. Realistically, the Asus will feel perceptively lagless with just an extra +4ms over perfect in the middle where most action takes place. 360Hz input lag should be under 2ms middle but I can't measure that myself with the Time Sleuth.

This is the monitor I want. 6900xt's are cheaper than even 3080's, anyone here running this monitor on team red? Is g sync on a must for any scenario with this monitor? Anyone checked if adaptive sync is up to scratch on this monitor using an and GPU?

I am the owner of a 6900 xt, I suggest you buy the Acer Aopen 25XV2Q F or Acer Nitro XV252Q F from 390hz, with Freesync Premium, vrr from 48 to 390hz, stroboscope up to 390hz (unlike the 360hz g sync counterparts that have they blocked it at 240hz), a clearer image than any other 360hz, and above all not having the g sync hardware module this monitor costs less. I also had the Alienware AW2521H 360hz but the Acer easily beats it in my opinion.
For more info I suggest you see the Bijan Jamshidi review on Youtube

Thank you very much! Wish I could get this monitor in Australia. I'll keep researching and hopefully it's available soon! Looks to be perfect. 390hz strobing ❤️

Can someone confirm if they have the issue I'm experiencing? Every once in a while after turning everything off, the internal power supply of the monitor will still stay on so the power brick and monitor stay hot. I always turn off the monitor manually with the power button so this has nothing to do with auto-turn off.

It happens like once a week so usually the internal circuitry turns off correctly, but when it happens, I don't know until the next day so the monitor is using power-on power for an entire day without me knowing. It's only when I go to check the power supply for heat the next day when I turn on my computer that I realize.

@TrantaLocked is the port set to go into deep sleep, through the options on the monitor OSD?
