Been lurking here on and off for couple of years - finally joined - an lo and behold the Founder of the Forum lives 45 minutes away in The Hammer, Steel City...small world!
Small world, indeed!

Glad you’re enjoying your 360Hz monitor.

I do would like to know if anyone local has the new 390 Hz monitors — that one, I haven’t seen just yet.
Will keep my eyes open for sure and will let you know.

Any idea why I can't see BIOS from the ASUS 360 yet I can see BIOS in my old ASUS 165Hz monitor? Driving me crazy!!! lol

Interesting - read one post on another forum from 2020 regarding my issue.

I have just purchased the Asus PG259QNR 360 Hz monitor to go with the EVGA 3080ti FTW3 Ultra I was lucky to get from the EVGA Queue, with 40% off to boot - my future RNG in all games has now gone.

So today, I was upgrading my RAM on my B450 Tomahawk Max ATX board, Ryzen 7 5800X, from G-Skill 3200 CL16 to G-Skill 3600 CL16 - checked compatibility and no problem.

Plan was install, boot into BIOS, retick XMP and Re-Bar and back to normal - easy peasy.

Nope.

Could not get into BIOS.

Long story short after doing several things, I went with my gut right from the start and swapped back to my ASUS 144/165hz monitor - and booted into BIOS no problem. And yes, before I did that I dropped my 360Hz monitor down to 144 and it didn't work. Did the slow boot as well, no joy.

So this is a problem, I've read one other poster who had same problem.

Is there a known problem with the ASUS PG259QN/R 360Hz monitor not being able to display BIOS screen?

Thank-you all and appreciate any help.
Got the monitor working with 3080ti FTW3 Ultra using HDMI port - could see BIOS fine now.

Did some checking the spec on amazon, VG248 QG, also dp 1.2 whereas PG259QNR, dp 1.4.

So my issue appears to be DP versions - don't know whether this will help anyone else, but there it is....¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you running Resize BAR? I am not able to get into bios while running resize bar using the display port, however I have not tried HDMI. When I do not run Resize BAR I am able to boot into bios fine, while using Display Port.

I can confirm Resize BAR enabled + Display port 1.4 on my PG259QNR does not communicate with the GPU during boot for bios access. I just swapped out my PG259QNR with my Omen X25f and I was able to see AMERICAN MEGATRENDS boot screen and enter the DELETE key for bios access. PG259QNR Display port 1.4, Omen X25f 240Hz Display port 1.2

I'm getting user replies from people that have Display port 1.4 (with other monitors) + 3090 + X570 with Resize BAR enabled and they are able to see the bios upon boot and access it, so logic is pointing more towards this monitor.

I got very strange issue. It happens two times and I don't have any pic but I was scary. I saw something like clouding making in real time after 10s it was on all screen and still spread. Turn of monitor and computer and was fine. Next time my son play and said is too bright, I saw clouds on all screen like from fist time and incredible flicker. Turn off on don't work. Clouds and flicker was there even on logo screen and osd, without any connection cable. In windows screen flicker on 60hz on 240 Hz looks fine but on low fps in game was still there. I try gsyc off/on and ulmb and nothing helps. I try all option and maybe after 30min screen making better and better till all this issue was gone.

So update to this thread - EVGA just released a new VBIOS for the EVGA 3080ti FTW3 Ultra - installed and BINGO!

Can now see the BIOS screen on my ASUS PG259QNR Monitor - so it was an issue with DP rather than the monitor, as suspected.

Re-Bar always been enabled for me, so everything working fine now.

Now to decide if I want to slightly undervolt my 5800x and can potentially play around without having to swap cables!!

Going to reply to your post so hopefully you get the notification.

If you're running an EVGA card, I've got the 3080ti, vBIOS was just released that solved this issue for me - I can see BIOS now fine with my PG259QNR - no more swapping cables....lol!
