I got the new PG259QN 360hz around 2 months ago & also built a 5950/3090 32gb 3600mhz PC rig.

I’ve had this PC for around 2 months & I’ve been having mouse input lag issues that I’ve tried everything to fix.

I play mainly overwatch, & I always notice the input lag while playing ana & trying to quickscope.

I’ve tried buying a new mouse (logitech superlight), I’ve also tried re-installing fresh windows, updating the bios.
I’ve tried playing around with the monitor settings, also the Nvidia CP & windows settings with no luck.

The best configuration I found for some reason was with G-Sync on & capping FPS 350 ingame & it had the least input lag/delay with best smooth/visual gameplay I could get.

I’ve got alot of advice telling me to turn off G-sync & uncapping my FPS in game to 400 & to make sure both V-sync options were turned off which I tried, but the input lag on the mouse was still there & also game wasn’t as smooth compared with G-sync on.

This is my PC build:

GPU: Asus Rog Strix RTX 3090 OC edition
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x
Motherboard: Asus Rog Crosshair VIII Dark Hero x570
RAM: 32gb (4x8) G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600mhz CL14
Storage: Samsung 980 pro evo 1TB m.2 SSD
Power supply: XFX XTI 1000W platinum plus
Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic white case
Cooling: Lian Li Galahad 360 white AIO
Fans: Lian Li UNIFAN white SL120 X 2
Strimers: Lian Li 24+3x8 pins strimers

Monitor: Asus rog strix PG259QN 360hz

If someone would help me I would be very grateful, thanks.
Disable C-States
Disable -PSS Support aka AMD Cool n Quiet

Update bios to 3401:

You may also want to check stability with CoreCycler. I found issues with both my 5800X chips and needed to lower the core speed with Curve Optimizer:

Why would an older 144hz monitor (XG2402) perform better though? I can't think of any reasons.

Yesterday i got the XL2546K: The colors and textures look great: Especially in PUBG and MW. U have a big advantage in spotting enemy's.

But I also play Quake Live. There's a huge difference in the amount of frags I can get with my XG2402 and the XL2546K. On the XL2546K I am just a regular player. Above average at best.

On the XL2546K I had a couple times where my plasma gun just couldn't catch up with the enemy or my mouse movement. I just switched back to the XG2402 and the difference is humongous.
On the XG2402 for example I am 9 of 10 at the top of the list on the servers I usually play. With the XL2546K its something like 3 out of 10. I like Quake Live just for that. It's a game where I am actually good at. I don't wanna give that up.

So unfortunately the XL2546K is going back to the store tomorrow for a refund.

I am going to give the 360hz a try. If its also mediocre @ Quake Live I'm going to stick with the XG2402 until the new Viewsonic 24'' 240 IPS comes out. Around next week the Alienware AW2521H 360hz should arrive. I will keep u guys posted.
I am confused on what you think youre experiencing here. How would a XL2546K with dyac+ be worse than the XG2402? How can a newer 240hz panel be worse than an older 144hz panel? I cant imagine input lag or response time being that different from a 144hz xg2402.... Placebo maybe?
Both great questions. (its def not placebo in QL, some movements where impossible to do on the XL2546K for example someone falling down fast close then tracking then railing (hard to explain )) If I had the answer I would give it. Maybe 1k pollingrate mice run better on the XG2402 144 hz in Quake Live. I just ordered the 8k Viper for my 360hz monitor next week. i will keep u guys posted...
Ok the Alienware AW2521H 360hz just arrived today. To make a long story short: Its very very good Its better then the XL2546K and the XG2402 also in Quake Live . no question about it. Its the monitor i was looking for. I am still top notch in QL and even much better!: i pulled off some combos, moves and insane highscores that felt very very good. believe it or not.

Also worth mentioning: The 360hz feels easy on your eyes. The Dyac on the XL2546K drained my energy way quicker. The IPS is very nice also.

Ok thats it. Tnx guys!!!!

Hey guys. Got this monitor 2 weeks ago, and currently running this monitor on standard settings with an ICC profile from tftpanels.
I just feels like the colors are a bit dull, and was wondering what the "best" overall settings for this.

Can someone guide me ?

I'm using normal OD, Color temp 6500k, 2,2 gamma, 60 brightness, 50 contrast..

Thanks in advance..

Hi everyone . I would like some help please. The monitor was working fine with HDR, but now the colours looked washed out. I disabled HDR and it still looks washed out. Im using a DP cable and changed to HDMI and still the same. Even the boot screen looks washed out. I tried different cables and connect my laptop and the colours are still washed out. Do I have a defective unit?

Maybe you changed something in the monitor's OSD by mistake? Like the gamma setting?

I would like to know if you can notice any strobe crosstalk / artifacts with ULMB enabled on this monitor in this kind of games? at 240/144 hz both would be interesting to know ! (and maybe also how you experience the ULMB in other games like FPS games etc) ty !

Hi there brochachos, just got this monitor yesterday. What mode are you using/recommend for esports games in general like CSGO, Overwatch... Maybe G-SYNC Esports? Because I see that the monitor is set to Racing Mode by factory default and I've seen on other forums that some users claim to have less input lag on Racing Mode but increased response time, which is worse. Right?
