Dead BenQ XL2411Z

Post by cheffi » 13 Oct 2020, 19:51

Dear users,

After I started the attempt to overclock my BenQ XL2411Z with softMCCS and the Nvidia Pixel Patcher, I noticed at some point that my monitor is no longer recognized via DVI and I can't get the resolution of the monitor above 1024x768@120hz. I can't find the monitor itself in SoftMCCS via. DVI either. At over 120HZ I get the error message "Out of Range". But I have the feeling that my monitor is not defective, because it works quite normal over VGA and HDMI and is still recognized by Plug&Play. Does anyone have any ideas or could anyone help me with this problem?

for advice I would be very grateful.
best regards, cheffi

I dunno what that pixel patched did, never used it myself. Maybe try deleting the monitor from the device manager.
Have you made any custom resolutions? Might need to reset the graphics driver as well so download CRU (custom resolution utility) and click the "reset-all" icon.

Hi

Thank you very much for the quick answer.

I have already reinstalled Windows. I can't get over 120hz @ 1024x768 via DVI and unfortunately the monitor is not recognized either

I have already tried CRU... all without success... :/

That's odd... Have you tried installing the WHQL driver? - https://www.benq.eu/en-eu/support/downl ... river.html

How about monitor OSD/System/Reset all?

When you attempted to overlock did you have any success with it before all this started?
