I just pulled the trigger on XL2546K. Upgrading from an "ancient" XL2430T. I've never owned a 240hz monitor before and I'm super excited. Do you guys have any recommendations for the settings? I've seen from videos that DyAc+ looks amazing. I play Overwatch, which is a really fast-paced game, so I'm pretty sure DyAc+ will come in handy.

Lucky, enjoy! I hope I'll be able to join you guys and order it next year :< No longer have the money to do so (still using my even-more-ancient XL2420Z).

In terms of settings recommendations - read the thread. You'll find all the info you need.

For Overwatch definitely use Dyac+ Premium with AMA Premium, crank up the Color Vibrance up to 15 and keep Black eQ at 5, playing heroes like Genji with Dyac enabled makes you switch target flawlessly in the middle of teamfights, the only heroes that benefit less from Dyac are probably hitscans where there are some improvements but definitely not a massive difference.

The good thing about Overwatch with Dyac is that every single bullet or projectile is perfectly visible and clear so it's very easy to dodge incoming fire strikes/junkrat bombs and deflecting is very easy aswell, every single animation such as shatter or sleep will be easy to read even if are in the middle of a teamfight.
I understand much more where I fuck up when I die, wether it's decision making or positioning instead of blaming the projectiles that I didn't see coming or the enemy that I didn't notice was hiding.

Motion handling without Dyac+ is good aswell, stick to AMA High, even when strobing with Dyac+ I feel much less eyestrains compared to using ELMB-Sync on the VG259QM (I can't understand why since the lower brightness cap on the Asus should have technically caused less issues), sometime I forget Dyac+ enabled for an entire day without noticing (no motion blur when scrolling on reddit I guess xd).

A couple of things to remind are:
- Freesync ON reduces AMA High strength, stick to Premium if you can constantly output 200+fps, for anything lower than 200 fps use High.
- Strobe Utility 2.0 works with this model

Oh and wait for Rtings to publish their review before using other icc profiles, the stock one from the driver zip is garbage.

Try this Axaro pls. Widowmaker workshop aim chamber. Exact 240 fps cap, nothing more (AMA High). it's like slow motion, for me better than DyAc, Freesync or other configs.

In a teamfight the tearing makes this config a bit worse, but in a game like CSGO ...

I wonder what DyAc+ single strobe range has XL2546K, can't understand why is not in oficial specs. Is like know the VRR range, both is a must be.

XL2746S has max 240 min 100 (or maybe a bit less than 100, seems nobody has tested the exact limit, but at 60 is double strobing, unbearable "double image"). I wonder if this lower limit is removed in this new model, in order to play 60FPS locked games without motion blur, no matter flicker, is assumed like in old CRT monitors.

Is interesting know the exact frequency where DyAc+ start apply double strobing, both DisplayPort and HDMI, to know the frequency limit to make custom resol. for DyAc+ , thx !

The only downside is that all shades of red/pink/magenta are miles away from the target even if you use the icm profile in the XL2546k drivers.
Basically everything except color reproduction and viewing angles (although not as bad as my XG2402) is better on the Benq.

I'd rather enable Freesync if I want to play capped close to the refresh rate.

If tearing when you are outputting more than 240fps with Dyac+ enabled become an issue you can uncap the fps limiter and use RTSS to cap at -0.01hz less than your decimal refresh rate.
I just tried it and as long as you can constantly output more than 240fps it has 0 tearing and perfect motion clarity, it doesn't fix tearing if you output less than 240fps but this is to be expected for strobing.
My fps fluctuate from 260 to 360fps so I just keep the engine uncapped with RTSS off since I don't mind having multiple frames in the same refresh - induced - tearing.

Your typical TN panel downsides: mediocre colour performance (without manual calibration), terrible viewing angles, especially vertical (top screen gamma shift), horizontal are acceptable. Other than that it's a solid monitor. I will be buying VG259QM again in a few days probably, to do my ultimate comparison between the two. In my case, I am quite uncertain if paying so much more for a TN panel with DyAc+ is worth it, as I don't really see strobing to be any significant difference in my game that much (CS:GO).
