BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN

I really want to compare new 240hz IPS panel with TN and thinking about it to just give a try, then return xl2546k to the shop in case of dissatisfaction. Anyway thanks for the info! )

If you plan to test it, it will be awesome to hear your thoughts on how these two monitors compare. So far it seems like axaro1 is the only one with the both of them, so it will be nice to hear another user's point of view.

EDIT: Also, it seems like other people report that the XL2546K has been nothing short of an upgrade over the Asus (from the reddit thread I mentioned yesterday), so IMHO, you should definitely not cancel your order and give it a try.

Yep, but there was upgrade from vg259qm to 2546k, but I have vg279qm. I tried Acer VG252QX and after VG279QM it becomes for me harder to see models in CS GO as I play with 4:3 black bars and VG279QM gives there advantage as models are bigger. In theory it can be decline with perfomance )) as I go from IPS to TN, from 27 to 25, input lag from 1.7 to 2.3(according to rtings), and also I bought vg279qm for 418$ in my country, but now should pay 581$ for xl2546k which can be very doubtful upgrade for this cost )) only one advantage I see with xl2546k it's better motion clarity, but there is no, according to reviews if you are not using Dyac(I won't be using it).

How does the non S/K XL2546 with Dyac compare in motion blur to the VG259QM with elmb? I assume the VG259QM is better given the age of the three year old XL2546 panel

This review says it has G Sync Compatible but for my unit it doesn't work well, you'll get artifacts on the monitor during menus if you enable it. The support rep on reddit said it was because it's not certified with G Sync Compatible

You usually can fix these artifacts by raising the minimum-Hz of your VRR range via ToastyX CRU, to about 55 or 65.

I now usually recommend very high minimum Hz for wide VRR ranges. 240Hz and up VRR means LFC mispredict stutter is usually rendered largely invisible. A tiny LFC-mispredict +/- 0.5/240sec stutter error on a 33ms frametime (30fps) generally gets lots in the low frame rate. As long as your Max Hz is still approximately 4x your Min Hz, now-invisible LFC stutter is a lesser-evil versus artifacts (low-frequency inversion artifacts, menu flicker, blackouts) etc.

Go ahead and raise your min VRR Hz. Stay away from the common framerates (e.g. 24fps, 30fps, 48fps, 60fps), a min Hz somewhere a few fps away from common frame rates is usually recommended, such as 55Hz or 65Hz.

I know this thread has many pages, but I don’t understand people who own this monitor and would voluntarily allow themselves to potentially miss valuable information.

Thanks Chief. One thing I've been noticing after using CRU is that if I come back to my pc after leaving it for some time in the profile with FreeSync on it's suddenly back to the profile with DYAC enable instead. I'm using the remote for changing it, is this an issue from CRU or the monitor?

Usually a sleep-mode reset from monitor or OS.

Could be a sleep-mode profile reset bug, when the monitor wakes up.

hmm that sounds probably unfixeable, unless Zowie releases firmware for these monitors
