hello,

I bought a zowie 2546k a month ago.
have now read up here - and do not quite know how to start with the monitor (strobe crosstalk, RTSS Scanline Sync).

can something break if i do something wrong ? how do i start ? are there custom settings for each monitor or are there settings that just work for everyone ?

do i have to change anything in the factory menu ?

Hello all,
I am a red/greed colorblind person and just got the XL2546k. I play Apex Legends and their colorblind modes let me tell the difference between purple/blue items. However, with the XL2546k, I can't tell them apart regardless of colorblind mode. Is there a better ICC profile to use than the BenQ one or anything at all I can do to help?

You might need to use a wide-color-gamut LCD, which will move the red/green color points further apart on the color gamut, making it easier for a colorblind mode to distinguish colors.

However, yes, there are possible color-blindness-compatibility .ICC files, or you can try the Windows 10 feature (Start Search Box -> type "Color Filters" -> Use Color Filers -> ON -> Choose your favourite color blindness filter). This may interact better with your game's colorblind mode.

In ToastyX Custom Resolution Utility, see if the monitor will accept these timings.
Create some custom resolutions:

1920x1080 @ 100hz (you should delete the existing 100hz in the extension block first please).
Front porch 88,4
Sync width 44,5
Horizontal Total: 2200
Vertical Total: 2250
Pixel clock: 495 mhz

Same thing for 120hz, except Pixel clock will be 594 mhz (remember to delete the 120hz already existing in the Extension Block!)

For 165hz:
front porch: 48,3
Sync Width: 32,5
Horizontal Total: 2001
Vertical Total: 1474

For 182hz:
front porch: 48,3
Sync Width: 32,5
Horizontal Total: 2080
Vertical Total: 1350

If these work, this will give you the best overall blur reduction quality and the lowest strobe crosstalk.
You should be able to set the "Area" (in the Service Menu) to 0, and keep the intensity between 15 to 25.

Note: Every "display profile" in the monitor has its own saved values for Area and Intensity.
Also, DyAc High and DyAc Premium also have independent values for Area and Intensity. You can use that and save the profile in the S-switch as Gamer 1, 2 or 3, and then change the profile as you need.

Note: Start with Standard Mode first. Then set the Gamma point to gamma 2.2 with the OSD Gamma setting. use this webpage as a guide. Standard Mode is the only mode that won't make your eyes bleed.

If you intend to use the other modes (FPS, RTS etc), make sure you at least set the Gamma to 4 or 5 and the Black Equalizer to 0, then tweak the color setting so you can get something that looks good. The presets are terrible.

Note: Standard Mode causes a complete monitor refresh because some settings are not available in Standard Mode (Senseye Demo is not available). Dynamic Contrast is only available with Blur Reduction (DyAc) disabled.

@Falkentyne is there a guide on how to setup my XL2546k for 1728x1080 resolution with 182hz refresh? Those are basically the settings I use to play Apex Legends. I tried using the usual settings with 1728x1080 and the monitor wouldn't take it (used NVCP to configure).

Sorry I don't know.
If something doesn't work in NVCP, try ToastyX CRU. The NVCP creates GPU scaled resolutions which don't always play nice.

IMO. I have tested and returned the PG259QN. If I focus on a specific enemy, the PG259QN is a bit more fluid for tracking. However the overview of what is happening is clearer in the XL2546K (without Dyac +, ULMB). The trails from the UFO test on the PG259QN are clearly visible in-game and everything is a bit blurry. For a game like CSGO I would hesitate, for a game like Overwatch I choose the XL2546K. In any case I am looking forward to the VG258QM. IMO
It's clearly true that LCD GtG

I wish to eventually see GtG100% improve on both leading and trailing edges of ultra-high-Hz LCD. Blue-phase LCDs can do microsecond pixel response, and we have lots of LCD improvement coming in the next 10-20 years, as well as potentially OLED/MicroLED.

Over the long term, I am eventually convincing some manufacturers to implement 100-level Overdrive (an overdrive slider) which can help mitigate concerns such as these too.
Hello! I finally get my answer, i was hesitating between these two monitors and I will go for the xl2546k (and sell my xg248q 240hz). Thanks :)

1600 vt
This is my current setting for overwatch
The monitor would say out of range, just click back on s-switch twice the remove the out of range overlay
with 100 brightness, extreme ama and extreme dyac.
when i set to 200hz just black screen but 199 works.
same setting with 180hz have almost 0 crosswalk.

wow nice 1600 vt ! , any chance you could take pic/video of testUFO with this 180 hz / 1600 vt or 199 hz / 1600 vt?
if not maybe you could say in your opinion how is the crosstalk on top / bottom with this settings in the full-screen crosstalk test here:

https://www.testufo.com/crosstalk#photo ... &pursuit=0

if you put that on fullscreen do you see any big crosstalk on top/bottom area ?
because center area already looks almost perfect on this monitor with 240 hz / default VT in my opinion !

I'm not sure to understand you (sorry) but what about 240hz with arround 300 fps and dyac+ on?

Plus, on overwatch i have arround 330 fps [290,340] arround 300 on teamfights, so xl2546k or PG259PN for that? I can buy the pg259pn too for 350€ and compare these two monitors (xl2546 is coming soon ^^) but I really think this dyac+ is great
