1600 vt
This is my current setting for overwatch
The monitor would say out of range, just click back on s-switch twice the remove the out of range overlay
with 100 brightness, extreme ama and extreme dyac.
when i set to 200hz just black screen but 199 works.
same setting with 180hz have almost 0 crosswalk.

wow nice 1600 vt ! , any chance you could take pic/video of testUFO with this 180 hz / 1600 vt or 199 hz / 1600 vt?
if not maybe you could say in your opinion how is the crosstalk on top / bottom with this settings in the full-screen crosstalk test here:

https://www.testufo.com/crosstalk#photo ... &pursuit=0

if you put that on fullscreen do you see any big crosstalk on top/bottom area ?
because center area already looks almost perfect on this monitor with 240 hz / default VT in my opinion !
There's going to be no crosstalk band at all at the bottom, with "Area=0" in the service menu.
It won't look as flawless as 100hz and 120hz with VT 2250 (both of them can accept VT 2250, 144hz can accept VT 1650), but 180hz with VT 1600 will look nice. My 180hz VT on my XL2746S is 1500 because I got tired of testing VT's and dealing with the very problematic 151hz-175hz range (for some reason, you get slow syncs or black screens if you use a VT higher than 1400 in this specific range).

BTW has anyone here been brave enough to send "Scaler" commands to the Scaler bank to see if a scaler command can unlock "Single Strobe" at 60hz? Not surprised if no one will want to try such a thing. Won't suggest it unless you're brave. (I haven't tried)

Dear BlurBusters...
lately I get xl2546k and I am looking for some help to set it up correctly.
I do play only warzone but problem is that I cant get stable 240fps.. more likely its between 180-245 capped to 265fps.
Current setup is Dyac+ premium, AMA high but when I run/slide the picture is not that perfect smooth as I would expect.
its kinda too much information over here and I am bit lost what should I do get the best result.

Do I need to use strobe app or make some custom resolution for dyac or its better to use freesync?
I have AMD GPU, is is better to set sharpening at radeon software or straight on monitor? Is there any different input lag? same with colors, contrast etc.?
Does anyone have warzone setup which can share? Would be lower resolution beneficial if fps are higher? What scaling to use full, aspect, 1:1, so many questions
Thanks for any reply.

This is my 1600 vt setting for 199.012hz and 180hz.
the crosswalk test image is using my 180hz setting.
Remember to turn off free-sync before using these setting, otherwise black screen.
There will be a out of sync overlay click back on s-switch twice to remove.
Use Blurbuster strobe utility to tune the crosswalk area.

For overwatch I turn on v-sync on nvcp and v-sync off in-game. Using the in-game fps cap at 199fps to achieve low lag v-sync. Make sure your fps counter doesn't have three dots, should be only one dot.

Benq's 240hz timings are sort of whacked. I noticed this too. It causes strange stuttering on the monitor.

Try one of these. This 240hz is better: I tested it.

Use ToastyX Custom Resolution utility and edit the existing 240hz resolution in the extension block. Notice that Benq's defaults will show something weird like 239.795 hz or something awful...

1920x1080 @ 240hz:
Porch: 24,3
Sync: 32,5
Back: 25,152
Blanking: 81,160
Horizontal Total: 2001
Vertical Total:1240
Refresh rate: 240.000
Hor clock:297.601 kHz
Pixel clock: 595.50 MHz

If you can't maintain 240hz/240 FPS try a 180hz custom resolution:

180hz:
Porch: 48,3
Sync: 32,5
Back:80,412
Blanking:160,420
Horizontal Total: 2080
Vertical Total: 1500
Refresh: 180hz
Pixel clock: 561.60 mhz

Another person got 1600 Vertical Total to work at 180hz. I did not try this. (higher vertical totals will make blur reduction a bit brighter, and reduce the amount of strobe crosstalk you get with "Area=0" set in the Service menu. Also, high vertical totals also will make lower input lag with "Area=100" possible (up to 1 frame lower input lag) without having Strobe Crosstalk cover the entire bottom of the screen!

Note: DyAc Service Menu Area/Persistence (as well as OSD brightness %) values can be saved independently for both DyAc High and DyAc Premium and saved to the S-switch, and will be recalled separately for each setting!

Thank you for answer..
I saw "BubbleFishHK" post but his setting are quite different, I mean Back porch and Blanking, what difference does it make if back porch starts from zero? 0 - 512 instead of 160-420 or 182hz trick at faq is 80-496, as well as blanking is half of amount 80 instead of 160..
If I do make custom resolution just because of the game.. should I keep it at 180hz even in Windows or it can make some harm in longterm usage?
so currently on my monitor in service menu is selected "Area = 0" and is better to set it up to =100?
What about the sharpening, is it better to set on GPU or Monitor, same with colors?
thanks

Yesterday i got the XL2546K: The colors and textures look great: Especially in PUBG and MW. U have a big advantage in spotting enemy's.

But I also play Quake Live. There's a huge difference in the amount of frags I can get with my XG2402 and the XL2546K. On the XL2546K I am just a regular player. Above average at best.

On the XL2546K I had a couple times where my plasma gun just couldn't catch up with the enemy or my mouse movement. I just switched back to the XG2402 and the difference is humongous.
On the XG2402 for example I am 9 of 10 at the top of the list on the servers I usually play. With the XL2546K its something like 3 out of 10. I like Quake Live just for that. It's a game where I am actually good at. I don't wanna give that up.

So unfortunately the XL2546K is going back to the store tomorrow for a refund.

I am going to give the 360hz a try. If its also mediocre @ Quake Live I'm going to stick with the XG2402 until the new Viewsonic 24'' 240 IPS comes out. Around next week the Alienware AW2521H 360hz should arrive. I will keep u guys posted.

Why would an older 144hz monitor (XG2402) perform better though? I can't think of any reasons.

I am confused on what you think youre experiencing here. How would a XL2546K with dyac+ be worse than the XG2402? How can a newer 240hz panel be worse than an older 144hz panel? I cant imagine input lag or response time being that different from a 144hz xg2402.... Placebo maybe?
