Why would an older 144hz monitor (XG2402) perform better though? I can't think of any reasons.

Yesterday i got the XL2546K: The colors and textures look great: Especially in PUBG and MW. U have a big advantage in spotting enemy's.

But I also play Quake Live. There's a huge difference in the amount of frags I can get with my XG2402 and the XL2546K. On the XL2546K I am just a regular player. Above average at best.

On the XL2546K I had a couple times where my plasma gun just couldn't catch up with the enemy or my mouse movement. I just switched back to the XG2402 and the difference is humongous.
On the XG2402 for example I am 9 of 10 at the top of the list on the servers I usually play. With the XL2546K its something like 3 out of 10. I like Quake Live just for that. It's a game where I am actually good at. I don't wanna give that up.

So unfortunately the XL2546K is going back to the store tomorrow for a refund.

I am going to give the 360hz a try. If its also mediocre @ Quake Live I'm going to stick with the XG2402 until the new Viewsonic 24'' 240 IPS comes out. Around next week the Alienware AW2521H 360hz should arrive. I will keep u guys posted.
I am confused on what you think youre experiencing here. How would a XL2546K with dyac+ be worse than the XG2402? How can a newer 240hz panel be worse than an older 144hz panel? I cant imagine input lag or response time being that different from a 144hz xg2402.... Placebo maybe?
Both great questions. (its def not placebo in QL, some movements where impossible to do on the XL2546K for example someone falling down fast close then tracking then railing (hard to explain )) If I had the answer I would give it. Maybe 1k pollingrate mice run better on the XG2402 144 hz in Quake Live. I just ordered the 8k Viper for my 360hz monitor next week. i will keep u guys posted...
Ok the Alienware AW2521H 360hz just arrived today. To make a long story short: Its very very good Its better then the XL2546K and the XG2402 also in Quake Live . no question about it. Its the monitor i was looking for. I am still top notch in QL and even much better!: i pulled off some combos, moves and insane highscores that felt very very good. believe it or not.

Also worth mentioning: The 360hz feels easy on your eyes. The Dyac on the XL2546K drained my energy way quicker. The IPS is very nice also.

Ok thats it. Tnx guys!!!!

Hey guys what is the difference between the FPS / gamer modes and the Standard / Movie modes? When I set the standard profile identical to an FPS profile (every single option matches) and switch between standard and the FPS profile, the screen goes black before I get an image. When switching between FPS profiles or between standard / movie, the profiles switch instantly (assuming same DyAc settings).

So, what exactly differs between these 2 types of profile? Is there an objectively better type of profile (FPS/Gamer vs Standard/Movie) to use for games? I couldn't find this information anywhere on the zowie website..

Interesting.... I honestly would think Dyac+ with the 2546K would be the better monitor for bang 4 buck. From what most people reported, 360hz monitors are a very minor improvement and from the reviews, that seems to be true. I mean, I just cant justify $800 for a 1080p monitor just for slight improvement. It sounds like youre willing to pay that just to have it for this one single game, so more power to you.

I dont see how 2546K TN vs a 360hz IPS would have much different input lag or responsiveness.

That's fantastic! May I ask what monitor settings you used? Response time extreme? G-Sync?

The Xl2546k looks slower than the XL2540 (year 2016)
Both in the RTINGS test setup (AMA and Dyac disabled), as well as "High AMA enabled and Dyac disabled" do not make the XL2546K as fast as Xl2540 with "High AMA". This happens in the Overwatch game (and I’ve only played that). I also tried Bijan Jamshidi's recommendation (AMA disabled - Dyac Premium or High enabled). In the first few minutes it looks good, but then the response time increases and I'm at a disadvantage. A lot of lost money ...
What do you mean by it looks slower?
is there mouse lag or something?
I just wanted to extract the maximum performance from this monitor (XL2546K), I am played Sniper in Overwatch with Widomaker and I also play with Ashe, Mcrre and Senior Soldier (76). I feel that in Xl2540 (blur reduction off and AMA High On) the gameplay was more responsive and managed to hit more "headshots". In the Xl2546k even though I'm sure I hit the "head shots" first, the enemy is still alive. Given this, I would like to know what is the best configuration on this monitor to obtain the best performance, even if it sacrifices the look of the game. I tried Dyac + on with Ama Alto or Premium, I also tried Dyac off with AMA off, I also tried AMA on with Dyac off, and I also tried FreeSync Premium with AMA on and also off. Everything seems inferior to the XL2540's performance in terms of smoothness and responsiveness. With Dyac turned on, the image looks beautiful, but my "headshots" are not recognized, I am used to the ugly look of the XL2540, but with many "headshots" recognized.
I left the Xl2540 with my son who is a specialist in Junkrat. I bought the XL2546K because here in my country it was the only reliable 240hz there was. Sorry for the long text and the poor English language.

Hopefully a dumb question with a simple solution :).
I've used CRU to create a custom 1728x1080 @182hz resolution that tests and works perfectly.
However, when I run Apex Legends, it will use 1728x1080 @240hz. I can't change it to run my XL2546K @182hz. If I leave NVCP open on my second monitor I can see it's changing to @240hz when Apex Legends opens up.

The only setting in NVCP that looks related is Preferred Refresh Rate and both settings did not have any impact (highest avail and application controlled).

I sent the following message to Benq through the Reclame Aqui website in my country:
Hello, Benq. I would like to return this monitor. Seven days have passed. And even if the seven days had not passed, the store where I bought it would not accept the return if the box was opened. I've been trying to get used to this monitor for about two weeks, but I realized that either there is a problem with my unit or the monitor was not made to work in the game that I play, which is Overwatch. I come from an XL2540 that is much better than the XL2546K in terms of response time. The XL2540 does not have Dyac technology, unless you enter the service menu and enable the Blur Reduction option, but I always used the XL2540 with the default setting which is Blur Reduction off. I tried to turn this function off on the Xl2546k, which has the name of Dyac Premion or Dyac Alto, even so this monitor is very slow, it is not fluid like my old XL2540 monitor. I would like Benq to respect me, accepting the return of this monitor, as I will buy another monitor that works with the Overwatch game. I thought the XL2546K would be better than my old XL2540. Maybe he is even better in other games like CS GO, Valorant, etc., but in Overwatch, he has no option to leave him at least with the same speed, responsiveness, fluidity as the XL2540.
