I am about to pull the trigger on this monitor for my upcoming pc. Before I do though, I would like to know if anyone knows about any new BenQ Zowie monitors that are in the pipeline?

Zowie release news usually come out of the blue and announce a new product that will be available in 1-2 months, just like they did with their mouse refreshes last week.

So far Zowie hasn't announced any new monitor since the 2546K.

Is there a significant difference between the XL2540K and the XL2546K - I seem some slight diffs in features, but most *seem* to be missable... I can get the 2540K for £250 so it seems a good deal atm (but not if its "old" tech)... also considering VG259QM / V279QM... but I want this for competitive Overwatch (GM level).

Dyac surely is an impressive feature in the way it removes motion blur but there's barely any OW pro using it, it's mainly used for games such as Valorant/CS/R6s.
Most of the Pros use the Omen x25f because that's what OWL use during LAN games but it uses an early 240hz panel so you should avoid it.

The 2540K might be your best choice in terms of raw panel speed, personally I wasn't impressed by the VG259QM (although the VG279QM seems to have a good ELMB implementation and better response times than the 259QM).

If you can wait for the XG2431 you might get a good monitor with similar features to the XL2546K but with a newer IPS panel and better tuning but if you are in hurry the 2540K for £250 might be the best bang for your buck.

Thanks, yeah wasn't sure about the 259QM as read better things about the 279QM - don't care if its 24" or 27" at 1080p.

VG279QM seems to be the go-to right now in this price bracket and can pick up for £299 (cheaper than the 259!?).

XG2431 is going to be out of range really, looking to upgrade a couple of screens so would rather not spend all that cost on one panel 😁

Was still curious about the 2540k (TN) vs the Asus (IPS) - ELMB would be good as currently using a Benq XL2411Z o/c'd to 200hz (as would freesync).

I would recommend the VG259QM, it’s an amazing monitor and I think asus even updated the panel (according to some ppl who own the monitor) I play valorant, but mostly competitive Fortnite, and yeah this monitor isn’t as fast as the Aorus KD25F, but it definitely feels better than my XL2546K. Not sure why. I don’t use ELMB since it doesn’t make a difference to me. If you don’t care about strobing then I’d highly suggest this monitor or it’s bigger brother the VG279QM. Good luck :)

I just purchased this monitor, when I download the Strobe Utility, at the time of installation I am asked to install the .NET Framework 3.5 program, but even installing it, the same message appears again, so I cannot install the Strobe Utility. I wanted to know if anyone had the same problem and how they solved it. There are similar posts from many years ago without a solution, so maybe today someone has found it. Thank you very much for your help

For Content Consumption/browsing I use RTings calibrated settings:

Sharpneess 7
Black eQ 0 (or 1, as you prefer)
