No, they use different panels. If you check rtings review, one is one of the best IPS gaming monitors (better than 360hz ones even), while the other has worse stats.

VG259QM is arguably a side grade when compared to the XL2546K.
2546k I'm trying it and it looks good to me, soon I get omen x25 and mag251rx and vg259qm.axaro1 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2021, 14:21VG259QM is arguably a side grade when compared to the XL2546K.
It feels slightly less laggy than the 2546K while having better colors.
The XL2546K is clearer both with Dyac ON and OFF but red/magenta shades are fcked out of the box, calibrating can mitigate this issue but I wasn't able to fix it.
OD120 is quite good at 280hz but motion clarity can't really be compared to strobing.
If I could output 280+fps all the time I'd use the VG259QM only with 280hz ELMB ON (but I sold my 5700xt so I'm stuck with an RX580 and I can't pull enough frames ), funnily enough the VG259QM along with the VG258QM are 2nd on the market in terms of maximum strobing frequency right behind the XV252QF/25XV2QF since all 360hz monitors are locked at 240hz when strobing.
If you are considering the XL2546K (which is already quite expensive) you should consider the XV252QF since it's in the same price range.
Also, for everyone reading this, don't forget that if you are a student you can get discounts when buying from monitor manufacturers official stores. I remember Dell giving me a 20% coupon, I just checked Acer I could get a 15% one (I could save 83 euro from stock price in my local EU store, from 549 euro -> 466).
Make sure you get the Omen X Gsync one! Because the F version is not nearly as fast as the Gsync one, wich is one of the fastest monitors.IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑03 Nov 2021, 20:002546k I'm trying it and it looks good to me, soon I get omen x25 and mag251rx and vg259qm.axaro1 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2021, 14:21VG259QM is arguably a side grade when compared to the XL2546K.

Many are telling me that the most performing monitor (without BLstrobing) is x25, we'll see.
I am not evaluating xv252qf because I play apex and warzone, I would be around 200fps and in that range the acer I have read that it has more blur than the ones above.
little personal note:
xl2546k is my first tn, I have always used ips, the colors at first glance disappointed me a lot, ips is much brighter and more faithful, but I have to be honest, after 2 days it is used exclusively on Cod I don't care anymore, I I am used to and I do not feel the lack of ips colors .... obviously for other uses outside the competition I have another ips monitor.
Again, the only strange thing I have about xl2546k is that I don't particularly notice the intervention of the Dyac, both on apex and on warzone the perceived
blur is the same , it is imperceptible, it remains the same whit dyac on or off.
yes i already ordered x25 (not f).Notty_PT wrote: ↑04 Nov 2021, 00:17Make sure you get the Omen X Gsync one! I am sure you will put the MSI and VG25 one aside, really fast BEcause Omen X25 Gsync version has an outstanding pixel response time
But it is beaten by the Ozone DSP24 240! That´s the fastest pixel response time monitor I ever used in my whole life. An almost unknown brand, an almost unknown model without attention from the biggest reviewers. A plain simple and old design without lights or fancy stuff. A very slim equipment on the back (uses external PSU tho, that´s a negative).
1080 PPS, no strobing
But the TN colours, contrast, washed out image, poor viewing angles... so hard to deal with. However I got all my best scores there. And I kept my unit. It is also being discontinoued and I love the higher PPI, smaller size 23,8.
Waiting for a PS5 and I will use it at 120hz because it was a cheap monitor (paid only 180€) and it has perfect input lag and overshoot at 120hz aswell. Or maybe I will have some tryhard moments where I put my IPS aside
You tell me!IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑04 Nov 2021, 07:29yes i already ordered x25 (not f).
This morning, after 2 days of benq, I reconnected my lg 27gn850 2k ......
I felt like a hippo in my movements compared to the Benq, I felt more motion blur and input lag in an exaggerated way, also I realize that 27 inches for Fps is really too much for me, with 25 I feel more in control of what is happening around me .
The sharpness and colors I have on my ips LG are from another planet than benq, the game looks super sharp and bright but the performance are low, it will be nice when a 25 inch ips monitor comes out that is capable of performance similar to a tn, how much time do we still have to wait???lol

Of Course... no ips panel can compete with a good TN my friend. But we got used to great colours and no image shift. Is hard to go to TN but it is the fastest after CRT or oled. No competition, specially on dark coloursZace wrote: ↑05 Nov 2021, 07:35Even faster than your aoc?Notty_PT wrote: ↑04 Nov 2021, 00:17Make sure you get the Omen X Gsync one!
