Hi,
I am a competitive high ranked gamer who only plays FPS games (CSGO, Overwatch & Valorant) on 24-25" 1080p monitor.
My Rig is capable of getting me +360fps all the time and I am not sure which should I pick between Asus 360hz PG259QN & Benq 240hz XL2546s monitors.
Obviously, the 360hz monitor should be the easier pick since I'm getting +360fps constantly, but I'm kinda confused between NT vs IPS panels and I am not sure which one of the two monitors has less input lag and all the other things that matter for competitive FPS gaming.
Asus 360hz PG259QN or Benq 240hz XL2546s?

There is no motion blur or ghosting on the Predator 240hz IPS in games, the new IPS screens have as fast or maybe even faster response times now than TN.
Don't think theres much arguement in that, the new 360hz IPS panel is the current 1080p god panel..
Its prob £150-£200 more than the Benq though.

If you can get 360 fps always then I'd personally get the Asus.

i sent back my fast gen ips to replace with the benq 2546k as i realized i just like TN panels better. the xl2546k feel "smoother" and more fluid with super fast mouse movement in hectic overwatch fights, for example, than the 280hz asus IPS. The 360hz might be better but I think, personally, it came down to IPS panels vs TN panels. The latest gen of .5ms TN panels is godly for 24in 1080p. Asus makes a cheaper build with the same .5ms TN panel if you dont want to shell out for the benq tax.. but the Dyac+ is pretty amazing.

The claimed IPS response times are now 0.5ms.. maybe theres a TN with 0.4ms claimed but arguably thats nothing. Most claimed response times are BS based on overdrives that are pretty much unusable anyway but its a stat you can compare off.

Yea I'm going to go back and forth between my 240hz TN before I make solid decision to keep this IPS 240hz.drjackmann wrote: ↑19 Nov 2020, 10:02i sent back my fast gen ips to replace with the benq 2546k as i realized i just like TN panels better. the xl2546k feel "smoother" and more fluid with super fast mouse movement in hectic overwatch fights, for example, than the 280hz asus IPS. The 280hz panel is just a native 240hz with an overclock though isn't it, the 360 is native I guess? Not sure if it being overclocked and not native makes any difference though.

yeah i believe the 360 is different- but I don't know enough about them as they were a little bit out of my price range. only tested the 280hz ips
