EDIT1: this comparison is not of the Dell monitor I was thinking of. Sorry.
EDIT2: here is the comparison I was thinking of, Dell Alienware AW2521H vs ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN:

EDIT3: title edited
I usually look for the input lag metric when buying a monitor. Are there any other metrics to consider when looking for the lowest input lag? Thanks

This is Alienware's "last-gen" monitor, you might be thinking about the AW2521H(Not HF) which is still under early access on Rtings.
Anyway within a week we will have Alienware 2521H(360HZ) - Asus PG259QN - Zowie 2546K(Also currently early access) side by side. Then there is only the ACER Predator X25 and MSI Oculux NXG253R, both 360hz left to go.

Acer Nitro XV252QF (390HZ) VRB Off, Overdrive: Normal/Extreme) Max Brightness ON.

It would be fair to compare the AW2521H with PG259QN or PG259QNR, THE AW2521HF is completely different.

OK, yeah, oof. That's what I was thinking, thanks for the correction. I did see an early access only, LOL i'll never do early access, review of the monitor and thought it was available.Bloods wrote: ↑04 Dec 2020, 08:47This is Alienware's "last-gen" monitor, you might be thinking about the AW2521H(Not HF) which is still under early access on Rtings.

"The ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN and the Dell Alienware AW2521H are very similar 360Hz monitors. The Dell has a better response time, it gets brighter, and has better ergonomics. However, the ASUS has better reflection handling and better color accuracy."

Looks like the Asus is faster but a bit of overshoot while the Dell has none, if you don't notice the Asus overshoot while gaming then it's almost 1ms quicker than the Dell. Thought you can put the Dell OD one higher and match the response time of the Asus but will have slightly worse overshoot than the Asus.
What's really weird is the Dell is actually an inch larger and 88 DPI vs the Asus 91 DPI. Same panel but different size slightly? odd...
Also looks like the Dell has that grainy screen coating, while the 240hz dell and Asus don't.

What metrics are best to look at when considering a monitor with the lowest latency? I always thought it was input lag, now I'm seeing Rise N Fall, etc.
Thanks
Thanks

Quite glad I'm getting the Alienware 360Hz now.
I couldn't bare all of the overshoot errors on the Asus 360Hz.

In terms or input lag, I'm really happy with the monitor I chose. A 66% increase in price for 1ms less input lag than what I got is not worth it for me right now.
