This is what I'm going to buy the minute I see in stock.

@Chief - What are your thoughts on this monitor? Would you mind taking a look at the specs of it along with the XV272U & sharing whether you think one or the other is a safer bet? The reason I ask is that the latter is actually available and the XB273U GX is not.

Also just generally, why does the XV272U have such a basic stand in comparison? Not that I'll be using it, just curious..

Isnt the acer XV272U that you are referring to have a max refresh rate only @ 144hz?
the one i posted XB 273U GX is a 270hz refresh rate monitor though

I wonder if is native 270Hz panel, or native 240 overclocked by Acer.

It's 240 native that can be oc'ed to 270. https://store.acer.com/en-us/27-predato ... 970a1c0e0e

Seems to expensive with mainstream 400nits, for non-strobed is a decent spec, but for strobing is not enought. Incoming Eve QHD@240 will have 600/650nits with LG IPS panel, support for 60Hz single strobe maybe even with BlurBusters approved sticker :) , and integer scaling ! In teory Acer will have to release something better to equal or beat.

Definitely a compelling option & with their estimated shipping date of next month even more so.
