Is this normal? I received my XG2431 on Tuesday and the bottom right corner has been bothersome when playing.

something like this will probably be the best performing gaming display one can get for the foreseeable future.
Just made a brand new account to post about this monitor. Is it really this good? I recently made the switch back from 1440p to 1080p and picked up two AW2521HF's but I think I'm going to return them. The colors are great, but something about the monitor doesn't feel like it's quite perfect.

I was debating getting the 360hz AW2521H or the 280hz VG259QM, but then saw this monitor with the BB2.0 certification. My mainstay games are competitive FPS's (right now Apex) and I'm looking for the monitor that's going to give me the best performance in those sorts of titles.
It is my own opinion that these Blur Buster tuned monitors are the best consumer gaming monitors to-date only according to my own research and overall preferences. There are some monitors that will do certain things better than the xg2431, but I think the xg2431 checks the most boxes of any gaming monitor I have used or researched (jack-of-all-trades, master of some but not all).

If hardware based 60hz-single-strobing for frame-rate limited PC games/console games/videos is not important to you, than the xg2431 loses its leg-up on many other high performing monitors. But I still have yet to see an IPS with as good ~75hz-120hz crosstalk-free strobing and such good 240hz strobing as well.

Everybody has there own use-cases. A 360hz or 390hz gaming monitor may be better for e-sports because of the slightly reduced input lag and smoother aiming, but 360hz sample-and-hold will still look subjectively blurrier than the top-notch strobing of the xg2431. It depends if you value the extra smoothness of higher-hz vs the eye-tracking motion-clarity of the xg2431 at only 240hz.

I think the xg2431 is the best tradeoff as it has a (high but not the highest) refresh rate of 240hz but also outstanding blur reduction to make 60-240hz look blur-free.

Yeah, I'm still on the fence about the 360hz+ monitors. I've heard a lot of mixed things about them where either people think they're incredible or others say they're a worse experience than 240hz. I also can't find the 390hz monitor anywhere for less than like $1,000+ so that's not a realistic option.

I play primarily competitive FPS games but do occasionally mix in the odd RPG or MMO. I was originally considering the XL2546K or the XG2431 and am thinking the ViewSonic might be the better option as it's IPS for all other gaming but has supposedly really good motion blur reduction for the FPS games I do play. I think the XL2546K would be awesome in FPS games but I'm sure I would find it pretty underwhelming for any other type of gaming I do.

The problem with the XL2546K is its $500 for slightly better strobing, slightly bigger size and worse input lag and everything else over the viewsonic xg2431 which is literally $300 right now.

Some thoughts on the XG2431 after two days. I also own an XL2746s and AOPEN 25XV2Q (390hz), and play Apex at a decent level (my team is currently top 20 in the NA ALGS Challenger Circuit). The monitor is excellent; for my intents and purposes better than the XL2746s or 25XV2Q. I had to tweak settings for visibility to be good enough at the normal pureXP setting, at settings higher than Normal it's too dark for my taste.

Settings:
- Apex fps capped at 260, gamma 50, digital vibrance default
- Standard mode, Normal PureXP (default configuration), 240hz
- Contrast 85, Color Temp Normal
- Sharpness 50, Black Stabilization 60

During the day when it's too bright I sometimes switch PureXP from Normal to Light.

That 390Hz Acer/Aopen costs under 500€ and under 500$....

Agreed. The XL2546K doesn't offer enough to justify the price difference other than purely buying it based on hype/curiosity around DyAc+.

I just pulled the trigger on two XG2431's and think I'm going to be quite happy overall. I'm very excited to try out the strobing, but even if I end up not liking that it sounds like the newer 23.8" Innolux panels are better than anything else I can buy in the 240hz 24.5" bracket.

I'll try and remember to report back my experience here!

It's $30 off ($299.99) right now on Amazon...
This is unbelievable how cheap tech is in the US...
EU price will be close to 500 euros ~566$

Can anyone compare this to XL2456K?
Which is ultimately better?

https://www.amazon.com/-/es/ViewSonic-X ... pt=MONITOR

370 euros with tax and shipping to portugal , not bad but without warrant is a bust =(

Would you mind expanding on how/why the XG2431 is better than the XL2746s, and especially 25XV2Q?

It’s not just you. My xg2431 has the same bothersome problems.
