It's from Lagom's LCD test page. I cloned the output of the two displays and took a photo. It's not gonna be very accurate, and it can only compare the lag between the monitors being tested, but it's enough to see that there's a decent amount of lag in 60hz mode for the XG2431. It's definitely less than the other monitors I have at 60hz though and I'm not concerned about it at all for anything other than fighting games.
maybe swap ports and swap which display is primary and try again. Maybe it's a delay from cloning the display. if you swap that will tell you.

Sadly you can't compare lag like that as the display output cloning introduces a moderate amount of lag. You could swap primary monitor and test the opposite scenario, I bet you would see more lag in your old monitor.

Which would have higher lag? The primary or clone? Viewsonic was primary in my test, it also had less lag than the AOC at 240hz than the AOC.

i just got an email from sales that my order was delayed until Sept because of a firmware issue that made the monitor "underperform from the advertised specs." I guess they've fixed it and have to flash the new firmware before they can ship.. i dunno but I cancelled my order. I'm not in a huge hurry. I'm about to get my CRT out of storage. lol

Gotcha. Btw there isn't a single review of this monitor yet? I guess very few people care about this (I'm still seeking exact data on minimum nits for VRR mode).

They are taking their sweet time to ship the monitors...

I swapped the test settings for the two monitors, made the AOC the primary and this was the result:

Results look the same. I imagine the lag is lower than other 240hz monitors at 60hz, but it's still too much lag for competitive, at least the way I have it set up. Someone else said that there's a firmware update that's coming because the monitor is not performing at the specs or something, so maybe that'll do someone about it?

Just gonna have to wait on RTings I guess to do a proper lag test.
