This is still not available in europe and I am wanting to upgrade from my Viewsonic XG240R as its a TN pannel , what would people recommend as this monitor would cost me £500 to import from America and I could find better instead for that price.
I don't know what calculations lead you to the 500£. But man's from the UK too and paid 350£(INCLUDING TAX AND SHIPPING) for this from Amazon.com and got it in 5 days no hassle. Let me just emphasize this further. Even if XG2431 will be in stock in the UK it'll probably match USD to GBP so 330$ = 330£. So I see no reason you haven't bought this already, other than not wanting it badly enough - you say you want to upgrade from your old XG240R, but you can't be bothered to add XG2431 to the CART and read the actual value...

Excuse me if I sounded too harsh.

Not going to lie I never even though about Amazon US when looking at US prices and saw other US stores that lead to around £500.. Also what import tax did you pay on the monitor when it entered the country?

I assume you got it from here:

Amazon includes the import tax and their shipping together. You pay that in the cart, after that you don't have to pay anything more. Also in worst case scenarios amazon probably has better chance returning than other us stores.

Ye thanks for some reason Amazon US never crossed my mind but I just ordered it with express delivery for £350 and it will be here on the 20th. Lets see how good this monitor is than, do you have any recommended settings for it?

In terms of motion blur reduction settings I think it varies between panels. In terms of unstrobed settings just set the response time to ultra fast and make sure your color temperature(mine is native) is not user Color cause if you set it to User Color you will see purple ghost behind your ufos. In Nvidia set the color bit to 10bit.

Do you get an input lag hit if you set color bit to 10bit ?

Ok thank you, one last question what did you do about the power for the monitor? I assume it arrived with a US plug? Could I use a plug from one of my other monitors just fine or just use an adapter.

So, today I've decided to make proper color calibration of every PureXP setting and also turned off, there's 2 modes one with digital vibrance from nvidia control panel, and one without.

Almost all settings on monitor are default, but the Color Temp is changed to > User Color, which settings will be set, you will find in each ICC profile respectively. Response time is "Advanced". Color Space > RGB. Color Range > Full Range.

First I will upload profiles without digital vibrance. Next post will be profiles with digital vibrance 77% in nvidia control panel.

Dynamic range > full range (0-255) and color depth is 10bpc for both variants in nvidia control panel.

Calibration is made in DisplayCal using i1Display Pro Plus.

Edit: download both part 1 and part 2 archives to be able to extract them normally.
