Their policy would seem to suggest that it will not charge until shipped.

Anyone know anything about PSSAV? They appear to have it in stock? https://pssav.com/product/viewsonic-xg2 ... esolution/

Not sure if the PSSAV is preorder or legit stock.
I almost placed an order, but instead I emailed them first asking about their stock w/that monitor.

EDIT: haven't gotten a reply back.. very shady

EDIT2: The reply I just got from PSSAV

Hello,

Thank you for contacting ViewSonic. The unit would be available for sale in the US by the end of October. Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this model.
I placed an order through them, I saw it as "In Stock" and assumed it was actually in stock and not a pre-order.. And it charged my card immediately. Pretty lame to not list it as "Pre-order".
That's real shady on that website's part.. my first impression was do not trust this web page.. I assume you'll be happy with the monitor anyways
I also have a website that sells the XG2431, claims to have stock and says that they can ship it today. It's from Indonesia. https://www.tokopedia.com/abditamastore ... dp-speaker

Just received an email from PSSAV that the monitor has been ordered and is expected to ship the first week of October from ViewSonic. They said they will provide me with shipping and tracking details when available.
Cool but when an item is not in stock and the website advertises it like the way they did "Add to cart", to me that's untrustworthy. Just be straight forward and honest, e.g. B&H photo "Preorder"

Good Luck

Just wanted to chime in one last time with this question (I also know a handful of people wondering the same thing). Can Chief, or anyone who already has the XG2431, comment on how many milliseconds of latency are added when strobing is turned On vs. Off at 240Hz? I’m less interested in the lower-latency-at-lower-Hz feature, as I’d be using this monitor exclusively at 240Hz strobed, personally. I’m just wondering how well these Innolux panels manage latency when strobing is enabled at 240Hz (I find DyAc+ to be a bit too much of a latency penalty, but if the XG2431 can strobe with less of a latency hit, then this could be an amazing alternative…)

Thanks in advance for any insight on this!

Someone please make the XG2431 strobe utility but for the XG270. I want to experience 60hz single strobe! 😭

Not possible -- the firmware does not support the necessary API interfaces.

For area-tunable strobe backlights where you can change the location of crosstalk, the latency is lowest immediately above the crosstalk band, and highest immediately below the crosstalk band. (The crosstalk band is a superimposition of both).

On both XL2546 and XG2431 latency is a vertical gradient of latency along the Y dimension (higher further above crosstalk band) which you can change the location of highest/lowest latency by seeing ANIMATIONS: Strobe Tuning, and checking section "Optimizing Quality vs Lag". Instructions are same for XL2546 and XG431.

Thanks, Chief. I was aware of this, and I understand this gradient can make it hard to pinpoint absolute deltas. That said, do you have any idea how much better these innolux panels are (combined with your utility), in terms of actual added milliseconds with strobing On vs. Off? I’m hoping there is less of a latency penalty than DyAc+ (I often see +4ms as the touted value) and it’d be great if someone could test and/or confirm how much latency is being added with XG2431 strobing at 240Hz.

Thank you again, by the way :)

The latency pretty much follows the mathematics more-or-less, as a delta between the sequential scanout (of LCD panel) versus the global panel flash (of the backlight). Average latency of non-QFT modes would be the halftime of max-Hz scanout.

Please vote at RTINGS suggest-a-monitor for the XG2431 to be reviewed.

Hi, I just got this monitor in Indonesia. I don't know how to test monitors sadly. But looking the UFO Motion Tests by eye are loads better, coming from an LG 27GL850.

I got this to play Apex Legends and Nintendo Switch games.

In Apex Legends, the game needs to be capped at 190 fps due to game engine micro stuttering. Any tips for the best settings to use? I'm thinking of just leaving it at 240hz and for the PureXP settings, both Normal and Extreme looks good, I'm experimenting with these two. But the Ultra is too dim.

For Switch games, 60hz strobe on a bright white background like the Nintedo EShop feels weird, it's been years since I had a CRT monitor maybe just need to get used to it. However, in-game looks great.

I'm probably going to get the XG271QG to replace the LG next for 1440p gaming.

Motion Blur Reduction tech is reeaaal nice. Can't believe I missed out on this all this time.

Thanks for the compliment on the XG2431 strobing quality!

And glad to know that 60Hz blur reduction works with the Nintendo Switch too.

Apex no longer needs to be capped at 190, this was fixed 28 days ago.
