I am very happy that the review of the XG2431 has come out. The input lag at 60hz is fantastic (8.8 ms).
The measurement that interests me is the input lag at 60hz with the strobe mode activated.
Rtings says that the input lag at 240hz without strobe and with strobe is very similar (2.7 vs 2.9).
My question is: if at 60hz the input lag is 8.8 without strobe. Did it look similar with the strobe mode?

The strobe lag varies depending on the settings in ViewSonic Strobe Utility, as well as whether you use QFT or not.
You can get much lower strobe lag than factory strobe lag with 60Hz, by using a QFT mode (true the name of QUICK frame transport).
In practice, the XG2431 is one of the lowest-strobe-lag monitors on the market. I've said this a year ago, but it's finally nice to see RTINGS finally publish independent lag results.

The strobe lag varies depending on the settings in ViewSonic Strobe Utility, as well as whether you use QFT or not.

Remember latency is lowest just immediately above the crosstalk band.
When doing advanced-user strobe-tuning at www.blurbusters.com/xg2431
The same latency-gradient effect happens on all strobed monitors with an adjustable strobe phase, including XL2411P and XG2431
Out-ot-the-box, the crosstalk bar is pre-tuned to be as off-screen as possible (for standard non-QFT ATSC HDTV-like modes of VT1125 used by consoles too).

Also how do you think the XG24131 performs against the Acer XV252Q FBMIIPRX both monitors in strobe mode @240hz with high VTs? The Acer will have more headroom as far as high VTs due to its higher default refresh rate but lacks the tunability of the ViewSonic Utility. I wonder which you think wins out in this use case as the game I play I maxes out at 240hz before weirdness sets in.

But... correct me if I'm wrong. In the case of consoles, since V-Sync is enabled in most games, the lag would be the same anywhere on the screen. It is right?
