Yes, input lag. Many 240 Hz monitors do a laggy job of 60 Hz. Most 240 Hz monitors at www.ritngs.com show worse 60 Hz lag scores.

The XG2431 should have pretty excellent console-lag scores, one of the first 240 Hz IPS panels to have low 60 Hz lag.

is there any estimated release date (ideally something that is confirmed by viewsonic and not just a rumor) ? i am very interested in this monitor, but i cant find anything from viewsonic that says something about the release date. I used the xg270 for a few weeks and loved it, just 27" was to big for me :/

I hear a lot of talk for this monitor for console / retro use. But as for the best 24" monitor for competitive fps on low settings. Would you recommend this monitor? Also considered a 340 hz but not sure it's overkill, and looking for quality over quantity. Where do you think this monitor ranks for that?

Anyone know how this monitor will compare with monitors like the PG259QN. Or 360 hz Alienware 25" for competitive fps? Different monitors, but which would you choose for just competitive fps?

Not sure why you would ask that when its not released yet.... How would anyone know that.

You can check reviews of XG270 and expect something similar but little better I guess.

I sure hope its not a little better, but a lot better than the xg270 considering that one was actually fairly slow compared to new fast ips monitors

I expect the response time to stay inside the scanout speed or I will be disappointed.

I am hoping these new 23.8” IPS panels will be quite a pleasant surprise for esports players too — I did not meed measuring equipment to notice the overdrive tuning at full max refresh rate 240 Hz on this panel is better than XG270 with faster overshootless GtG numbers in non strobed measurement tests too.

All 240 Hz IPS have been those 24.5” and 27” panels but these 23.8” IPS seem to perform noticeably better/faster. Reviewers will have to determine and measure this.

i still cant find any information on the xg2431 ... only thing i found is "Hello, the XG2431 will be delayed until May." of ViewSonicGaming :/ so interested in this monitor and need a new one, rly hope they tell us an release date ..
