Benq could have done a better job with the AMA.

On the XL2746S,
They used an Overdrive Gain of 24 for DyAc Off + AMA high, and 15 for DyAc on.
(this is at 165hz).

Even Premium isn't too bad (OD Gain 29). They went a bit conservative on it as I prefer it a few notches higher up with DyAc on (but the two settings are perfect with Dyac off).

I see a high amount of overshoot from your pictures, does it translate into overshoot even with Dyac enabled?
From my experience a decent amount of overshoot can be easily hidden by the BFI duration, with Dyac Premium the only important part of each transition is the last 17% of a 4.17ms window, so if you overshoot at 50% and stabilize the transition at 75% you will not see any overshoot.

It's clear that Benq designs overdrives to be used specifically with Dyac but I honestly can't really see any overshoot with either AMA High or Premium and Dyac OFF when playing at 240hz unless I use a 240/480fps camera or I look closely at an ufotest.
Terrible camera angle because as a disabled person its not easy for me to capture good pictures with a phone.
Notice the bottom of the picture looks perfect while the top looks like overshoot? Blur reduction is disabled so the entire screen looks the same. The middle is most accurate representation of the entire screen. The screen IRL looks absolutely nothing like the top. The top looks more like AMA premium. IRL the entire screen is uniform and near perfect.

Yikes.
I just realized the way my phone captured them, both the high and premium pics look identical. Nothing like that IRL.

I wonder how you don't see any overshoot, I can see A LOT of overshoot on both AMA High and Premium, clearly visible in UFO Test, basically the same as shown in Bijan Jamshidi's review. Is there something I am missing? Do you tweak it somehow?

Here's a picture from the review I mentioned, clearly visible whitish/bluish coronas, that's exactly what I saw on both of mine XL2546K's. It was fine for CS:GO, but for example in Aim Lab practice this level of overshoot was distracting, while OD80 on VG259QM is totally fine for both CS:GO and Aim Lab.

I can see overshoot while scrolling vertically on certain sites but I've never noticed it ingame.

I could definitely notice overshoot on the VG259QM with OD80 for example when looking at edges with the blue sky on the background, I can see the white trail behind objects.
OD120 already provides -10% overshoot while achieving 2.6ms G2G so I'd rather use it instead of OD80.

I prefer the Benq over the VG259QM only due to the faster panel, even with AMA OFF, so in terms of raw panel performances, I can distinguish the 3 dots on the UFO at 960pps and dark transitions are noticeably better.

I'd rather have some slight overshoot when the ufo is moving at 1920pps which means having a more defined target at the expenses of corona trails than have ghosting stretch the length of the target due to slow response times, from Bijan's review it looks like only the KD25F has the perfect no ghosting/no overshoot ufotests even at 1920pps.

Motion clarity for me has never been an issue on the XL2546K.

So should I be using AMA off or High on the 2540k for general high frame fps game usage? I am getting confused.

How does it perform in terms of response time compared to this XL2546K? https://youtu.be/Tpc9V_Z9B1Q. the XL2540K uses a different panel so, it might perform the same, better, or worse. The overdrive could also be tuned better compared to the XL2546K. It would be very helpful if you can take a few UFO ghosting videos with your phone or camera and then post them here.

Welcome to the club, I got mine last week and I am loving mine as well. Just waiting for someone smarter than me to help me get the settings right.

Currently deciding between normal and warm color temp. I have no clue which AMA setting I should use. Using the Standard setting with a Brightness of 20 and the Gamma to 4 ( I like a slightly darker tone than the Gamma 3 default .) Would love to hear some other peoples settings.

Awesome. Post a thread on some of the differences when you do. Im looking for feedback on overall performance, input lag, response times, motion etc.

+1 @sk1p please show us some pics/videos of normal testUFO and also the fullscreen testUFO strobe crosstalk test when you get monitor please :)

most interesting I think is ELMB ON and ELMB-SYNC ON at 280/240hz (maybe 144hz also?) and ELMB OFF at OD 60/80 probably if its similar to vg259qm and vg279qm overdrive !
