i have the MAG251RX and XL2540K on my desk to test them both and i kinda understand the ips has "less input delay" feeling but i highly doubt its actually a thing. i switched back and forth and i think the extra smoothness that comes from the tn because of the better motion clarity makes you think its some sort of delay cause the 240 ips feels kinda snappier. the thing is as soon as you get used to the tn smoothness it def. smokes the ips without a doubt cause you can see models so much clearer and everything becomes so natural. i also did alot of human benchmarks with 5 runs each and on my end the zowie always beat the msi with 10-15 ms on average. i think the way better motion clarity and the crazy boosted colours (super intense reds etc.) on the zowie r huge advantages when it comes to fps shooters like cs:go and valorant. the only ips that stands a chance against the new zowies is prob the 360 hz panel which i would love to try but 650 € is a little bit too much for my liking

BenQ is trying so hard to get hated these days or something, I don't know

First they release XL2546K, which is pretty good for what it is, but lacks some standard features many people would want, it's not even G-SYNC Compatible (this monitor's main feature is DyAc+, sure, but wouldn't hurt to make it more versatile), no good colour preset either, thick bezels too. It also has some serious performance issues in my opinion, there's pretty much overshoot even on AMA High (this is backed up by RTINGS review) that has been actually more distracting to me than it's been on other monitors I tested, depending on a game (it was fine for CS:GO). Then, they release XL2540K with a different panel (newer revision of the same panel used in XL2540) than XL2546K, which is more prone to pixel inversion issues apparently. Just a few days ago they got crushed by Hardware Unboxed for their pretty bad release of XL2411K, and now they recycle a dated TN panel for VG258QM. A cherry on top of this is their attitude towards gaming mice as well, they refuse to make any changes that are popular now, like lower weights and better, paracord-like cables, no wonder guys from the Zowie team left and made some new mice as a new company called VAXEE.

Look, I get it, these are made mostly for pros and people focused on competitive performance who don't care about the other things, but would that hurt to try a little harder and make them more suitable for wider variety of customers? Even pros, who seem to be quite conservative with their gear, have massively switched to other mice brands, for example.

Their mice all have great shapes but their inability to improve the hardware honestly makes no sense, companies like VAXEE/EGG copy their shapes and put a 3389 + aftermarket switches and there's instantly no reason to buy a Zowie mice, that's why we see a lot of FK2, S2, EC2 clones on the market (I use the XM1r myself, it's basically an FK2 clone with a 3370 and Kailh 8.0).

The XL2546K is Gsync compatible according to RTings.

But yeah, I agree, Benq should definitely at least change the price for the 2546K and come up with a 360hz alternative to the AW2521H/PG259QN.

From a motion clarity point of view they still have the best strobing mode on the market, I'm wondering why it is taking so long for monitor manufacturers to come up with overvolted backlights.
It's pretty sick to compare Dyac ON vs OFF with something like this https://www.testufo.com/scanskew#speed= ... 4&center=1 and notice perfect motion clarity but strobing is just a workaround for the flaws of LCD technologies.
The only 3 things that make the 2546K appealing are motion clarity, OSD control and great quality display scaler (that I don't even use).

Everything else is better on a 240hz IPS monitors.

The 2540K is -200eur compared to the 2546K and it is using a more recent 240hz TN panel compared to the VG258QM while being at the same price point.

Is an old Q250HTA00 with +40hz and ELMB better than the 2540k's new AUO M250HTN018 at 240hz with no strobing?

Yes, it can record 4k 60fps.

Same panel but now we have 280hz and a better implementation of ELMB. Unfortunately this is the market.

Could that be a new revision of the same panel or something? if I'm not mistaken the PG258Q uses an 8bit panel(6bit+FRC), and according to a few leaks of that upcoming RTINGS review (on the 4th page), the VG258QM uses a 10bit panel(8bit +FRC).

Since I am a fast paced player (overwatch/McOsu) and I care about motion blur so much, I would like to see a comparison between XL2546K vs VG258QM.
I want to know if Asus monitor would handle the lines better in a very fast paced way since it is 40hz more than BenQ monitor.
There's a store selling the asus monitor already and if there's no big difference in the strobing (ELMB vs Dyac+) between these two, I would get it since it is much cheaper and has more visual features.

I can only get 10bit with a refresh rate of 120hz.

Now I started to think try benq xl2540k after vg258qm

Do you think M250HTN018 has lower input lag than M250HTN01.9 ? Follow to narrow logic M250HTN018 is like previous version of M250HTN01.9 )), but of course I think it should be better as it newer.
