I’m an FPS player and I recently built this pc back in September and I’m running the following specs: 10700K, 3080FTW3, 2x16 3600CL16. I run all my graphical settings in my games like Warzone, Valorant, Overwatch, Apex, etc in a combination of low/disabled settings.
I don’t want to be so CPU bound so I’m looking to jump to 1440p and really unleash the power of the 3080. The AW2521H obviously has 360hz, reflex low latency, but I’m sticking with 1080p. I do not run GeForce Experience on my AW2521HF as I know it can affect FPS and hinder performance slightly (this true?) and I have OBS to utilize all my recordings anyway so would I even benefit from reflex? Any news on the AW2721D getting it or is it actually a hardware implementation?
I cannot decide which to go with. AW2721D seems so solid! Has GSYNC Ultimate, great color gamut, amazing brightness, larger PPI, and has some similar issues in already okay with like low contrast.
I’d love some help in which way to go. I would sell my AW2521HF to help with one of these.
Thanks!

Re: Upgrading AW2521HF...AW2721D vs AW2521H
Hey man,
So you want to go with 1440p 27" to get better PPI, crispier image? IPS, 240Hz?
To benefit from latency reduction tech (NULL, in-game Reflex) gpu utilization must be 99-100% (highly gpu bound). Just use in-game limiters an set fps slightly under refresh rate value to avoid higher input lag. I've heard about nvidia tech where plugging the mouse into monitor usb port reduces latency but I don't know how effective is it. So I believe RLA is not worth it.
Here are some 27" 1440p 240+Hz IPS monitors:
AW2721D, XB273U GXbmiipruzx, PG279QM (unreleased), Omen X 27 (TN), FI27Q-X, XV272U Xbmiipruzx
But I'd also advise you to keep your AW2521HF.
