Why do my eyes hurt when I sit at the monitor but do not hurt when I do it with a smartphone?

Look, I have a philips 245e1s and after at least 2-3 hours of action behind it (games, videos, working with text, etc.) my eyes start to hurt and they turn red.
But I also have two smartphones: realme c2 and xiaomi redmi note 4. And when I sit behind them my eyes do not hurt at all, and when I sit down from the monitor at the smartphone, I feel that my eye pain disappears.
Why is this happening !? It drives me crazy, I thought the problem was in the old syncmaster 940n but there is also flicker-free technology. Is she standing here for marketing?
