Razer Viper 8k Stuck at 4k

Post by antslimey » 04 May 2021, 01:16

Hello, I have a issue with my new razer viper 8k. I am trying to get it to go up to 8k but when I run a polling test the highest I got was around 5,000.
My setup is fully compitable with the mouse.
I have a I7 70070k Processer
1070TI Graphics card
16gbs of ram
280hz montior
Windows 10 is OS

Hi, have the same with i5 8600k, gtx 1060, Asus vg279qm, mainly bought it for CS GO and according to my tests any of polling rates above 1000hz leads to unstable aim, therefore I use it on 1000hz.

The Corsair version works great. I haven't had any issues at all and it is VERY responsive at 8K. Have you reached out to Razer? It sounds like an issue that Razer should be fixing.

Would be interested to see your results when run out of a USB 3.0 port. It's not supposed to require it, but perhaps it might be slacking on the signal negotiation?

Having it connected to an uncongested USB chipset may also improve the situation. Figure out your motherboard traces and isolate it if you can.
