Hey everyone, sorry if I missed this in the thread. I got this monitor the other day and it's pretty sweet coming from a xl2430t. Was wondering if anyone has had any success overclocking. Also, is it gsync compatable? It does not work when I use the pendulum test. Though it activates in the nvidia control panel when I activate freesync. Just not working in test. Thanks!

Are there any firmware updates for this monitor? I couldn't find any for the Aopen version (25xv2q). Also which displayport cable am I supposed to buy? I'm getting constant flickers at 390hz with TVR/VBR on. Kind of ridiculous at $400 they can't even give us a proper displayport cable. Did anyone ever figure out how to get your settings to save? I noticed if I just leave it on User Mode and don't change to any other mode it'll keep my settings as is whether I turn off the monitor or the PC. So I guess that's a saving grace? But I'd still like to be able to change between modes for different uses...

I recently bought this monitor and it works great except for csgo, I play 1024x768 stretched. However, I get purple shadows around the text and crosshair (https://imgur.com/a/a3rUdqd), I believe its the monitor because my old monitor didn't have this issue, my gpu is the 6800XT. Anyone else with this issue or a fix?

I think mine's defective. I tried 4 different dp cables and they all flicker the same at 390hz. 360hz works fine but i bought it for the 390hz. I guess ill return and get a xg2431 i hope its not as dim as every complains about it being. This acer aopen was nice and bright even with strobing

What do you guys think are the best settings? Overdrive and VRB both on extreme? Or Overdrive on Normal cause of overshoot? Anyone knows the difference between normal mode and overdrive mode on inputlag?
I can’t give you any objective measurements because I don’t have the tools to test with. What I personally use is overdrive on extreme and VRB off.
I got this monitor a couple of days ago. I really like it although the VRB doesn't impress me so far.
Would you happen to know the best/ideal settings in different circumstances:

Like in Quake Live max fps is 250 which I can easily maintain. Is 390 hz the best setting? Or should I try with 250 hz (especially if I wanna use VRB)?

In Quake Champions I get 200-300 fps. I currently use max fps 387. Would it be better to put max fps 200 and hz 390?

Should I use max fps 387 in general even if I don't use Gsync? In games where I can't maintain 390 fps is it better to put an maintainable fps limit?

It’s dim I returned mine for that reason and the fact the colors were so off.

in QL I cap fps at 220 quake champions at 380 APEx at 296 In PUBG I dont cap the FPS cause the framerate fluctuates to much. Use rivatruner to cap and spectate the frames. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsXFUVY ... on%29sense on how to do it.

Just started seeing flickering when I switched the monitor Color Temp. to Cool, wow

EDIT: was just a coincidence. It flickered when I set it back to Warm. Now testing to see if it wasn't just a bad PC system overclock with the IF and RAM (AMD)

EDIT: nope, reset to a known stable bios configuration, booted up CS:GO started flickering again

EDIT2: changed out the Display Port cable that came with the monitor to a spare one I had from my Omen X 25f and so far so good. However it's only been 15 minutes but it hasn't flicked yet, knock on wood. Will reply later at the end of the day with results.

Sounds like a cable issue. Get a new/different cable.
