Just picked this monitor up from microcenter for $299 pretty big improvement over my old BenQ xl2420z 😂

Cs/valorant/apex are mainly the games I play, but I love it overall!

I'll have to skim through to see some of the best settings but out of the box It seems fine so far

Monitor does fine on 360hz, did anyone confirm if it's the cable that comes with the monitor that causes the flickering? I did try and run at 390 and it doesn't seem to flicker while running any game, but in the menus etc it definitely does.

Not a single issue @ 360hz ... Has anyone solved the 390hz black screen flicker (I don't have any artifacting flicker) just black screen on off on off etc ... Looking for a fix, or someone who runs 390hz native and it works fine!
(I can take it back to microcenter and exchange for a different one, however I'm skeptical of it actually being the panels and not some other issue)

My system is an intel 13700kf and rtx 3070ti

Problem Solved...

It has nothing to do with DP cable... You need to disconnect DP cable and Power cable from the monitor. Hold the power button for 30 seconds...plug the DP cable back in then the power (the order does not matter afaik this is just how i did it) When you power back up i noticed previously when i would select the OC setting i would then have to open the Nvidia control panel and select 390Hz under the change resolution drop down... THIS time as soon as I did the OC setting through the monitor i checked windows setting and it was already set to 390hz. I have had zero Black screen on and off's so to say.. ( i never had flickering background) THAT is the fix...

going in and out of games, browsing the internet and the previous issue that i had when switching to 390hZ is gone.

Hello everyone ! I had thought about buying the Asus VG259QM but for €135 I could make the jump to this Acer XV252QF, has anyone had both? is noticeably better panel ? Or am I only paying the refresh rate?

I currently have a 1080ti but in a while I plan to get a more powerful gpu that can reach these fps

Thank you

I have been a big fps player for a long time now and coming from a BenQ this monitor is insane I chose this over the VG259QM I'm sure both are great monitors. Good luck

I got this acer and all I can say that I dont like it that much, after using more refined 1440p display.
It's fast though, I think it's worth if you only play competetive for serious, and can cope with low brightness in BFI mode. I personally can see clearer and enjoy more when my screen isnt butchered by shit brightness and colours.

What settings (sorry I'll check a page back)

I have had absolutely zero issues now... I am using a DP cable that is from a 2k monitor but that should be no different than the one it came with... I also have a dp 2.0 sitting here... But it's not needed. I clearly had the issues of black screen going on and off, like when a monitor changes hz.. in and out. That is now completely gone, and I've never had the "constant flickering"
